Did you get a RX 7000 series GPU, you didn't need to upgrade or are you waiting for the RX 9000 series?
Amd next gen Radeon GPU rumors
I think you're making a few assumptions. I think they'll increase market share but shipping 5 - 10x the number of GPU's isn't realistic.
- Theyre moving to 5nm, it's a less mature process so probably not as good yielding as 7nm, even if using smaller chiplets makes this a wash, there likely aren't gains to be had there
- TSMC capacity was probably already reserved years ago, I'm sure they got as much as they could. It's a finite number, unlikely to be 5x what they're getting from 7nm
- Yes, they won't be making any consoles on 5nm but assuming they've been selling every shred of silicon they can produce now, theyre likely operating at near 100% capacity and not able to meet demand
- RDNA 3 will likely be in a similar situation with zen 4 that RDNA 2 is with zen 3, they have 1 process node for 2 products and CPU's are more profitable per mm of silicon. I'm not sure if their server silicon is also on 5nm, but the triage is something like server > CPU > GPU
- You're also assuming there's no other bottleneck in the supply chain which is unrealistic.

I ask this question because I've read some people saying they have buyers remorse after getting an RX 7900XT or an RX 7900XTX when they were on sale. Actually IMO I feel that was the best time to buy GPUs like these. Some people also got a RX 7900 GRE, RX 7800XT, RX 7700XT or just went with Nvidia. Some people didn't feel a need to upgrade because their RX 6800 to RX 6950XT can still play all the latest titles. What I speculate is AMD and Nvidia will put out low supplies of their new GPUs, it will make them far harder to get and will most likely make them cost more money. So back to the original topic. Did you get an upgrade to the RX 7000 series, go with Nvidia, don't plan on upgrading because your current GPU run your games fine or are you waiting for the new AMD and Nvidia GPU lines to be released? I use to be caught in the FOMO syndrome(the Fear Of Missing Out) and I'd upgrade all the time when my GPUs were perfectly fine playing the newest games(perhaps with the exception of Ray Tracing, Ray Reconstruction and advanced rendering for professional tasks). I bought a RX 7900XTX so I wouldn't have to upgrade for a while and as I stated I don't trust what AMD and Nvidia may do with these new GPU launches.
Please I'd like to hear your feedback. You may not agree with my view point, but let's try to at least respect each other. We shouldn't be here to argue with or insult others over their own personal views.
Happy gaming all no matter what you chose to do.
