Hopefully I’ve put enough mod info in the title - basically I have the melter set up correctly, but when I try to connect an energy cable to it, it just doesn’t connect?

For context, I have an energy battery that is full with FE, and the energy extraction cable attached, but it just doesn’t connect to the melter. The tutorial I was following (onlydraven gaming on YouTube) was simple and I set it up exactly the same, but other people in the comments are having the same issue. Anyone can help me here?? I created a bloody fission reactor thinking it would power this and I’m frustrated it’s not working!

How do I use the melter and set it up properly? Also how to get the fluids out? I put mine about a pool of lava to get max heat to burn the acacia wood for amber, but it's full now and I dont know how to get the amber out to turn into crystalized amber. The info button for the melter is very vague.

I've run into a problem with the cyclic mon in the new skyfactory, i can't find a way to get amber and i need it to progress in the mod, any help would be much appreciated

I've been trying to use it to make the liquid XP, however, no matter how hard I try, it will not get hot enough/able to create it. I placed the ingredients in the right slots as stated too. There was only one other thread online about this, but it was dead and had no answers that really helped.

First time, With Prestidge on. I'm doing the quest to get the iron tree. I made a small smeltery, using the "mini-brain" block. But how do I remove the liquid iron from it? I looked at a drain block in creative, and it's locked by Prestidge.

I'm trying to use my melter for the first time and it's not working. I right click it and nothing happens. I can use other tinkerer's construct equipment, just not the melter. I made the porcelain melter as well but it also doesn't work :( any ideas?
