Power off computer, remove battery, connect AC adapter,and then power on system again. Please observe any blinking lights. If the blinking lights are still there, power off the system again, remove AC adapter. Press and hold down the power button for 20 seconds to drain any excess static power. Replace battery, connect adapter, and then power on system. Hopefully, there aren't any flashing lights.

Thank you for your suggestions, I have run the diagnostic tool and found the error code 0132. Which means I may have to reseat the battery or replace it ? my system shows windows is updated, so I am assuming there is no need to update BIOS ?  I haven’t replaced original battery in the last 5 years.  Can I run the laptop with Charger for shorter duration till I fix the battery issues?

There is a power problem, a device may be malfunctioning or incorrectly installed.” · Have you run the Dell Diagnostics yet ? Tap the F12 key at the Dell splash screen on start-up. Choose Diagnostics from the menu. · If all works fine with the battery removed with just the charger, and with the information you have given, I would suggest that the battery is dead. Hi @henson79010 · Try resetting the BIOS by performing a full power refresh. · Disconnect the main battery from the motherboard, remove the coin cell RTC battery from the motherboard, press and hold the laptop's power button for a full 30 seconds and then release it. · Reinsert the coin cell battery (+ve side up), reconnect the main battery to the motherboard, reassemble the laptop, connect the charger and then check if it starts OK. · Update (12/29/23) · If the motherboard is a Compal LA-J108P/J109P here's the · schematic. · The Power button is on p.77 top left of page.
