Windows 11. How can I identify incompatible drivers so I can turn on Memory Integrity?
Memory Integrity Is Off - Incompatible Drivers
How can i fix incompatible drivers when turning on memory integrity
Memory Integrity can't be Turned on but no Incompatible Drivers
Videos
There are no incompatible drivers listed. I went through the entire device manager. It does not identify anything.
Is it okay if I just leave this thing off because I am sick and tired of my days being sidetracked by all this stuff. My rate of accomplishment is reduced by about60% because I have to research, trubleshoot, and implement all these fixes.
IF IT WANTS ME TO FIX A DRIVER IT BETTER TELL ME WHICH ONE IT IS. (My gues is it has something to do with Photoshop or Adobe or the graphics card. It is either that or my printer which is seriously old.... like an HP 1530mfp. If that is it, I refuse to buy a new printer.)
I am just amazed that the transition from windows 10 did not break more stuff on my computer... although the jury is still out on that I guess.
BUT PLEASE TELL ME HOW I CAN FIX IT IF IT DOES NOT REQUIRE ME TO GO INTO A DOS WINDOW AND START MUCKING ABOUT THERE.
If you can;t tell me that. Just tell me how bad it is to leave it off. because I give up. AIN'T GOT TIME FOR THIS.
Mothra and Jonvon,
Memory Integrity keeps malware out of high security processes during an attack so your system is not completely taken hostage or destroyed. It's very important this remains on (unless you hardly use your PC at all or maybe like... you never, ever connect to the internet.). One can learn in a day how to place malware onto another's computer remotely because it's not complicated and most users are not paying attention. It's actually kind of amazing how "huh, weird, oh well!" the mods and Microsoft are about a security flaw like that.... then again, we're all stuck with this thing because not even Microsoft knows how to uninstall itself correctly :|
! to offer this link as a solution next, I don't know, but perhaps nobody knew it existed before.
*******I went Settings > Check Windows Update (at the top of the settings page) > saw I had an OPTIONAL update > clicked it to see the files > ooooh a preview of Windows 10 bc MS can't figure out how to get W11 to work with an intel i7 quad core processor > beneath were 4 drivers that needed to be installed > installed these drivers > PROBLEM SOLVED. And by the way, for me, this was not really a compatibility issue because I lacked the driver completely (it's for an old thumb drive I'm using... It's really sad and stupid that Windows won't grab the appropriate driver automatically--presumably because the USB is old (from 2008)--and will instead turn off Memory Integrity then proceed to be extremely vague and general about why. Memory Integrity keeps malware out of high security processes during an attack so your system is not completely taken hostage. It's not an exaggeration. Here is the text from the "help" page Windows points you toward (after revealing a pretty big security issue. Naturally, you'd want to hop right on the internet and test your luck instead of keeping the help files stored locally... and also making them helpful):
"Turning on the Memory integrity setting would block these incompatible drivers from loading. Because blocking these drivers might cause unwanted or unexpected behaviors, the Memory integrity setting is turned off to allow these drivers to load. If you want to restore the Memory integrity setting, you can try to resolve a driver incompatibility by seeing if an updated and compatible driver is available through Windows Update or from the driver manufacturer. Microsoft does not recommend that you delete drivers to attempt to restore this setting."
Anywho... Just use ChatGPT3.5 for your queries. At least ChatGPT won't quit answering and will see the issue through with you until the end! unless you run out of freebies, of course.
My Windows PC continually freezes at random points and I have to preform a hard reset in order to get it running again. But one thing that continually pops up is the Memory Integrity in the Core Isolation of Windows Security. Each time I try to resolve it I cannot find the drivers anywhere to remove them. I've attached screenshots w/ as much info as possible to see if anyone can help me. I don't know if this is the problem, but I'd still like to fix this issue. Thanks.
Any help is appreciated. thanks.
Hi @Carlos Martinez ,
Turning on the Memory integrity setting would block these incompatible drivers from loading.
Microsoft does not recommend that you delete drivers to attempt to restore this setting.

I have a Dell XPS 13. I randomly decided to open up defender and saw that my memory integrity was off. I've tried every little method I've found on the Internet but couldn't find anything, plus there are NO drivers mentioned by Windows Security despite it saying there is. Am I doomed?
Problem: I cannot reactive Memory Integrity due to an incompatible driver, and this driver is nowhere to be found, not on device manager (even with hidden devices), or PowerShell, or the Driver Store folder.
Context:
-Connected via USB a device called Line6 Pod Go (A legit amp simulator and audio interface from a reputable company) - I used to do this all the time before without any issues on Windows11, it installs the appropriate app and drivers, and works okay.
After a while, I connected it again and the update installed new drivers which apparently are not compatible with memory core isolation. I read up and this is a common problem with this manufacturer on this specific update for their new drivers, and they need to release a version compatible.
Another thing I noticed is an app called Nahimic Audio, which I have never seen before, but is showed up as soon as I reconnected the Line 6 Pod Go.
I looked it up and there seems to be a vague debate on either bloatware or a legit audio app. I had never seen it and don't intend to use it, so I deleted the app and the drivers related to it.
Meanwhile, I just want to uninstall everything related to it and turn back on Memory Core Isolation.
Steps taken:
- I uninstalled all apps and drivers related, and it still shows this incompatible "ghost" driver not allowing me to turn it back on.
-I used the pnputil enum driver command on powershell to try to find this driver and delete, but it was nowhere to be found.
-Made sure Virtual Machine Platform and Hypervisor were enabled as features (I read these have to be enabled to turn on Memory Core Isolation)
I have to find the driver that just has this:
l6PodGo_AvsFilter.sysLine6Driver Version: 1.97.0.0Product Name: Line 6 AVStream Driver.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'd really like to avoid having to format the PC.
Happy to hop on Discord or screen share if it would ease things. I'm not the most tech savvy guy but I can follow instructions. Pictures below:
Memory integration unable to activate.Driver in question, which literally does not exist in my PC. I have searched as far as I can using multiple tools.
This is not my PC, this is how a driver is supposed to look like with all this info. My problem driver doesn't have all this, it doesn't even exist.
