Bought a graphics card and motherboard off someone that was originally from the Levono Legion Tower 7i. The mobo didn’t come with an IO shield so now my pc literally just has an open gap in the back. Am I able to buy an IO shield anywhere?
I recently bought an ASUS crosshair VII Hero motherboard for my first gaming pc build. I noticed it didn't come with an io shield (if it did I have no idea where it's located) and was wondering if this particular mobo doesn't come with an io shield? I know the importance of an io shield and don't want to statically discharge my pc. The motherboard was bought brand new of amazon and I'm not sure if I should get it replaced. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
So I bought a motherboard from someone on ebay. It was labeled new and when I opened it the IO shield was missing. I was wondering if you guys knew any websites that specialize in that sort of thing. If you need to know the motherboard:

I got a used b550m phantom gaming 4 but comes without the IO shield, for the moment I will replace it with a plastic one from Amazon (the one where you can cut the holes based on the position of the plugs) and Later I should receive a metallic one from AliExpress. Is it safe to use without IO/shield ? I let all the cables plugged in the back and use the front I/O of the case for the temporary usb drives.
Hey guys, I just received my ROG strix z370-e from Newegg. It was open box. I received the motherboard today and started installing the components into it. Just as I was going to install it within the case I realized I never installed the IO shield. I’ve looked in the box and in all the components that it came with and there is no IO shield to be found. What should I do now? Thanks.
is it not connected to the side? it has a built in io shield.
Open-box products are sold as-is, so probably nothing you can do. Maybe you can contact Asus support and they might send you one. In the mean time, there's really no particular need to have an I/O shield anyways besides looking a little nicer.

I bought an used motherboard and didn't realize that it didn't come with the I/O shield. I have been running it without the shield but have noticed a lot of dust build up inside the case. I've looked on Ebay and cannot find one. The motherboard is an ASRock 970 Extreme 3. If anyone knows where to find one I'd really appreciate it!
I spent nearly 3 hours building a PC to realize I forgot to install the IO shield on the case. Please be mindful when you start building the PC. I ended up squeezing it in quite awkwardly to the case.

Maybe this is a vent, or maybe it is a request for ideas how to proceed. If someone told me 'I lost the I/O shield of my computer's motherboard', I'd ask myself 'how can you even lose it'? Here is how: A couple of weeks ago I bought a new computer case and installed all the hardware. The next day the case didn't appeal to me any longer and so I asked for a refund and ordered another one. A couple of days later I wanted to build in the hardware into the second case and after psu/fans/cable management and it was the motherboard's turn, I couldn't find the I/O shield. It dawned me what could have happened , and after I sweeped the whole fucking apartement for this goddamn plate I came to the conclusion that I'm a full retard. I forgot to remove it before i sent the other case back to the retailer.
I called them but they couldn't help me. So next I contacted MSI and after two weeks I got an answer. They want 25$ for this little plate. No fucking way! I searched the interenet, but there is no shop which sells this type of I/O shield. I have this beauty of a case right now, illuminated and everything, but the fact that there is no I/O plate but a strip of duct tape covering the opening bothers me.
Do you guys have any idea for a better repacement than duct tape or some other suggestion?

Please do not shame, it was a busy day and I just made a mistake. Is it worth unscrewing the motherboard and putting it in?
Since the Ryzen 5500 has no iGPU, I am just lazy enough to not opening a hole for video ports. And WiFi card will have inner antenna inside the itx case.
My gigabyte b450 Aorus pro WiFi motherboard didn’t come with an io shield I think what can I do
