You can't believe it, the issue is ... HDMI cable. I tried 3 cables and all of them are broken. After using new one from new display, problem just solved.

Single Short Beep...No Display
New built pc no display and 1 short beep :: Hardware and Operating Systems
ASUs b550m-a, 1 long beep 2 short beeps, no signal Detected monitor
Videos
Just finished building my first pc and when I turn on the power there’s 1 long beep followed by 2 short beeps (it doesn’t repeat). My cpu fans, chassis fans, gpu fans and ram rgb all work. My components: -ryzen 7 5800x (used off eBay) -2x8 GB Corsair ddr4 vengeance rgb pro ddr4 3200MHz (used off eBay) -ASUs prime b550m-a motherboard (unopened off eBay) -rtx 2080 super AORUS (used off eBay) -msi 850w psu (used off eBay) -thermalright assassin 120x (new) cpu cooler -fanxiang 500gb m.2 (new) -benq monitor
-I don’t have any spare pc parts I can test with (only own all in one desktops) -I’ve tried taking out ram, putting one in, switching it, putting in different slots but nothing seems to work -I’ve tried reseating the gpu -all cables are connected correctly -when I connect the monitor to the gpu using either hdmi or display ports, it changes from “no cable Detected” to “no signal detected” after putting it in. I’ve made sure to select the right display menu -I tried all 6 ports on the gpu and the hdmi port on the motherboard
-
I’ve reset the clrtc pins -I can’t access bios or anything because the monitor won’t display it
Out of solutions on what to do as the user guide says nothing about error codes. Searched online and some say it’s gpu error and some say it’s ram error. Any help would be appreciated! (Besides the obvious of buying new parts)
Hello everyone. I am getting no signal and only getting one beep from my system. The system stop posting after a oc ram mistake. I have tried these, not in any specific orders.
-
I've tried swapping cpu, memory, and motherboard. All of them bought new.
-
I swap the psu with a old working psu.
-
I've rebuild it outside the case.
-
Reset cmos.
-
Try HDMI port with a TV instead of dvi on my monitor
I've done everything I possible can do. I just want to know is it reasonable to assume that there is a issue wrong with my gpu? I really don't have extra money to fork out to buy a new gpu and test. Since I bought my gpu in the pandemic it is still returnable.

Hi guys,
I've just completed my first build, but there is no display when connected to a monitor.
The computer makes 1 short beep which means POST was successful.
I've checked all the connections and they seem fine.
I'd appreciate your help.
Thanks!

Good suggestions, ninja.
I've seen a similar issue quite often - try connecting your display to a different output on the graphics card. Often, only one output works before you've installed your drivers.
It's often the main DVI or VGA output.
There should be an adapter bundled with the graphics card, allowing you to convert from DVI to VGA and the other way around.
I learned this the hard way.
Be absolutely sure your monitor cable is plugged in at both ends and is not damaged.
Took me over a week of on and off troubleshooting
My pc has been working perfectly fine for 4 years, ive only ever had issues with one of my d drives but i could manage through that. last night my pc turned to a black screen while i was playing fortnite and the fans went to full speed. i could still hear my friends through discord but not the game. i had to shut it off. i booted it up again and it fixed my d drive (which is where the game was installed) but then the same problem occurred as the game was about to boot into the menu. i tried booting my pc again and now it gives no signal and my mobo gives 1 long beep and 3 short beeps. people are saying it could be the psu, i should reseat my ram or gpu, but i dont really know where to start. judging from how this started, what do you guys think it might be? my bios mode is UEFI and my mobo is an ASUS prime Z490-A. GPU is a 3090 and i have 64 gb of ram. UPDATE: reseated my ram and now my mobo just shows an orange light. I changed to just have 1 ram and it shows my bios but when i start again my mobo has a red light then orange repeatedly then boots off and reboots back to the american megatrends safe mode to bios screen NEW UPDATE: I reseated the ram and it suddenly just works now? could it have just been overheating from not cleaning it in like 2 years?
According to HP https://support.hp.com/id-en/document/c01941944 there should not be a 1 beep situation. I believe in making sure that the PSU is good before trying to diagnose further in situations such as yours. You can do that by using a known good PSU or using a DVM and paperclip (to get it started). Also, it is worth disconnecting the hard drive and mouse so that they are ruled out as a problem.
I have an HP Compaq Elite 8300
The PC turns on, no red lights but there is one beep and when looking up the BIOS code for that it says it’s a memory error and I have tried reseating all the RAM as well as using one stick at a time in one slot at a time as well as removing CMOS replacing CMOS, cleaned the entire PC and replaced the RAM, reseated the CPU and reapplied thermal paste, but I get the same issue, does anyone know what could be causing the code and the beep? Can anyone help
