I'm starting university this year and I decided to start saving up for a new laptop. I initially wanted to get the 13" M3, but after comparing the specs I realised that the upgraded chip made no difference to me and the M2 and M3 laptops were practically the same. Since I was planning on spending a larger amount initially I thought I might as well get the 16/256 configuration but on a 15" instead.
Since I'm upgrading the RAM, I went on the apple store to set myself a savings target, but it seems like they've discontinued the 15" M2 air.
Do I just settle for a 13" macbook or should I just stick around and see if anyone is selling (which I find unlikely as the 15" M2 only came out last year)?

Well they launched the M3 today and it's probably because of that and the fact the new chip supports dual monitors on the 15". However they have some awesome deals on the M2 refurbished if you can swing it now. Or in 6 months or so the M3 may start showing up on the refurnished site as well.

Any other advantages of 15 over 13. Nope, apart from on the screen they're the same. I've used both and it's truly a preference thing. I personally prefer the 13 for compactness when traveling. But for someone that uses it at home or wants a big screen regardless of travel then it's a fantastic option .

I use my MacBook "on the go" rather than "on the desk". For my use case, 13" is the better fit because it is a breeze to lug it around.
