I have found that 1Password works well with Safari on my M1 iMac and also with Firefox (that browser has been giving me timeout issues lately) but I just added the Brave Browser to my system to try but 1Password doesn't autofill my site login info. Am I in need of an extension and if so, could someone please point me in the right direction?
Thanks very much for any help you can provide.

Oh yes, 1Password has been a huge pain with brave for a long time. It's inconsistent at best and downright infuriating at worst. When I have these moments, I just give up and swap back to Safari for whatever website I'm looking to login to. So I'm totally on board with the issues you are having but unfortunately, we're both still looking for a solution. Short of switching back to Safari, which I'm considering. More on reddit.com

While using brave everytime there is a password field that needs to get filled I’m prompted to enter my 1Password credentials. Is this the way it works or did I not set it up properly?

That’s not how it should work. Check your security settings and make sure it’s not set to lock after a minute of inactivity or something.

They have withdrawn the support for non standard browsers. Google - 1password and trusted browsers. On a Mac on the nightly builds, you can add in other browsers to be trusted, but that's not YET available on Windows.

Following the suggestions of numerous members of several groups.io to which I belong, I made Brave my primary browser.
I still keep Safari around but use it now as a backup browser.
Brave says it is up to date.
My imac is a 2020 iMac, SSD, macOS 14.1.1.
Brave has been refusing to log me into some sites using 1Password; something it has been able to do without problem until this morning.
This morning it balked when I tried to log into Walgreen’s; I cut and pasted the URL into Safari and was logged straight in via the 1Password Safari extension.
Just now, I clicked on a link to log into the Washington Post using the 1Password extension for Brave and after 1P input the correct email address, Brave returned [Something went wrong]. Cut and pasted the URL into Safari and the 1Password extension logged me straight in.
I quit and restarted Brave; problem persists.
Is anyone else experiencing problems like these and does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this?

I'm not having a problem logging into Walgreens with Brave and the 1Password extension on MacOS 14.1.1 with a 2023 Mini. Maybe reinstall the extension?
