TL;DR: OLED, Thinner design, and M6 family of chips.
With all the rumors coming out for the redesigned Macbook Pro expected in late 2026 or early 2027 (OLED, touchscreen, etc.), do you think Apple will update the keyboard keys and corners to be softer akin to app icons? I could see them going back to a similar design like what they used for the 2010 white MacBook.

Hey everyone,
I’m in the market for a new MacBook and was pretty much ready to buy… until I started seeing all these rumors about a bigger refresh coming in late 2026. Now I’m stuck in that classic “do I buy now or wait?” loop.
A little about my usage: I mostly need it for day-to-day stuff, some trading dashboards, coding, and occasional light video editing. I’m not doing anything super GPU-heavy. Good battery life and portability matter to me.
What’s making me consider buying now: • The current M-series Macs are already crazy fast for what I need. • MacBook Air/Pro designs are stable right now no weird glitches from a first-gen redesign. • I could actually use the machine right now instead of waiting another year+.
What’s making me hesitate: • Rumors say 2026 models might have bigger upgrades — new displays (maybe OLED), possible design changes, maybe touch features. • I don’t want to buy now and then feel like I missed out on something major a year later. • But also… Apple rumors are always a thing, and then half of them get delayed anyway.
So I’m torn. Part of me feels like the M3/M4 machines are already more than enough, and waiting for “the next big thing” is a never-ending cycle. But the other part of me wonders if 2026 might actually be worth holding off for.
If you were in my shoes, what would you do? Buy now and enjoy it? Or wait and hope the 2026 rumors pan out?
