July 26, 2017 - Version 1.2 I finally got around to address the problems in getting the list of system fonts on both Windows and Mac. Previously it was very hacky. June 2, 2022 - Now you will have 3D text Editor in the Draw menu with ‘Editable 3D text’; click on it. You will have the same text dialog box as we have in the 3D text tool of SketchUp, but with this text editor tool, we can see editing of our text live on 3d models directly.

In order to align text on center position of something , go into the group and sketch a rectangle around the areas of your text. Snap the central point of your rectangle to the middle of the edge to be center on. Click right with your mouse button on the rectangle and select Hide to hide it from view. In order to rotate to a specific face or axis, select the rotate tool on the right access on any face and press shift to lock to that axis. For moving towards a specific axis or edge, pick it, and hold shift. ... There exists an option with the 3d text to obtain the height of your text.

July 26, 2023 - I just updated, and now I am running version 23.1.340. Previously, when I open the 3D text tool, I could just start typing. Now, I have to first erase “Enter text.” Also previously, I could type and then hit “tab” then “enter” in order to activate the “Place” button.
