I walk past Hotel Louison all the time - there's actually a bit of construction going on on Rue de Vaugirard (between Blvd du Montparnasse and Rue Littré) so it's not the best atmosphere and the sidewalks are torn up. Also it's in a more residential area. The former is in a much more lively / touristy part of town, also much closer to Jardin du Lux which may make it more attractive if you want to visit often with your child More on reddit.com

Lots of hotels in the 6th fit the bill. Hotel Madison, Hotel Millesime, Hotel d‘Aubusson, Hotel Baume, Hotel Odeon just to name a few. Best depends on your comfort level with public transport. The RER B has a nearby stops at St. Michel and Luxembourg. It will take you to CDG in about an hour. You have to be attentive on the RER. If that is uncomfortable for you, arrange a taxi in advance through the G7 app. I don’t know the exact fare, but it is fixed. More on reddit.com

Traveling to Paris as a first time visitor with partner. I think I’ve narrowed it down to the 6th near the Seine being best for us but I’m not certain that’s correct.
We’re planning on seeing the primary historical and artistic sights, we don’t care about night life.
We have some chronic pain issues and are older so I’m primarily looking for accommodation that’s centrally located to the major sights and to the metro to cut down on walking if there are any health flare ups.
We’re looking for a hotel with air con, I’d love an elevator but I know that’s asking a lot, so at least not a very tall building, and we’d like a place that serves breakfast (buffet preferred).
Price range: 3-4 hundred$/ night
