r/MechanicalKeyboards on Reddit: Why Are 75% Keyboards So Popular 😤

Like WHY?!?! From what I’ve seen, they look compacted and squished together. I don’t like how they are so long and not very wide.

I've never understood why there are still plenty of people who ask for 65% keyboards when 75% is only slightly bigger in width while it offers WAY more keys on the top and two keys on the side (or one key + knob). I'm really asking out of curiosity.

Personally I just like 65 more aesthetically as 75 looks weirdly... tall? It feels worth the minimal effort of fn+numbers for my f row and I don't have a personal use for the extra keys on a normal 75, obviously all preference though and I have seen some fantastic looking 75 boards

I need function keys a lot at home and don’t want to use an extra key every time, so 75% for me. At work I could do with a 65%.
