r/StableDiffusion on Reddit: Best Free AI for Image to Video?
September 18, 2025 -

Hey Guys , I'm looking for the best option (preferably free) to convert images to videos with small animations done to the objects within the image to make it seem like they are moving and maybe zoom in/zoom out etc.

Is there any free option for this? if not , which would be the most economic option that offers a free trial?

Thank you.

I’ve been experimenting with AI tools that can turn images into short videos. So far I’ve tried JoggAI, Sora, and Runway, just testing the free options, but I’m curious if there are other tools out there that work well. I’m also trying to compare them to see which one’s easier or better to use.

Does anyone have favorites for this kind of stuff? Free or freemium options are fine. Would love to hear what’s been working for you.

I’m trying to find a solid free image-to-video ai that lets you generate around 8 videos per day without blocking most prompts. i tested a couple of sites, but even something like “girl slowly does a 360 turn” got flagged or blocked.

i’ve seen tools like pika labs and domo ai doing decent work, and I’m still testing a few others like kaiber. ideally looking for something with a usable free plan and fewer restrictions.

if you’ve got any recommendations that work well, let me know.

I really Need an AI to create me like an 5sec video of my images and I’ve actually found really good ones.

The problem ist that they have the credit system, I need to make atleast 7-11 vids a day for my social media accounts…If you include this factor, I need to pay hundreds of dollars a month to make enough vids with this stupid credit system.

Does anyone know a good AI that lets you do unlimited videos, as long as it’s less than 50$ a month it’s ok. Appreciating any help.

r/AI_Agents on Reddit: Is there any free simple decent image to video services out there that don't the whole stupid credits system?
March 13, 2025 -

I've gone through 20 plus sites trying to look for a decent working image to video Ai site, all of them use the lame and stupid credits system.

Many of them say it's Free but they either give you no credits or just a few, not enough to make even a single video.

For the record, I've only found two decent sites, Kling and Hailuo but they too run on credits... and they don't give any decent amount of credits to really do much.

I'm not looking for paid services, looking to find if anyone has discovered any free services that either don't use the credit system or if they do, also have a decent amount to use.

Edit: Let me clarify, I have no issue with paying for a service but the sites I've visited doesn't give me enough credits to really test out how well image to video generations really are and a lot of the times the free credits I do have get eaten up by bad generations. If I'm gonna pay, then I want to know how good your service is and if you can't provide enough credits to really try it out, then I will not pay. Not trying to be cheap, I just don't want to pay for a service that's gonna do nothing but give me bad generations/not listen to my prompt most of the time.

This is why I want free if possible or sites that give a decent amount of credits.

r/StableDiffusion on Reddit: Help Needed: How to Create Videos from Static Photos Using AI?
September 5, 2024 -

I recently came across a Facebook post that caught my attention, where AI is used to generate videos from static photos. Here's the original post I saw:

“I noticed that quite a few people had trouble understanding how this AI video works and what the AI actually does, so I put together some examples. Above, we have the photos (normal photos), and below, we have the videos generated from those photos. After generating all the necessary footage, we edit it into a real estate video tour, which can be complex or simple depending on the client's preferences.”

Here’s the link to the video: Facebook Video

I’m really intrigued by how they managed to create these videos using AI, especially from just static photos. Does anyone here know what tools or techniques they might be using? Any recommendations on software or methods for beginners would be super helpful!

Hi, I tried generating videos on my PC but it is too slow, even a 320p video takes ages to finish, often with terrible results. So now I'm looking for an online AI video generator. I used Kling, it is not perfect, but good enough for me, but it limits the video length to 10s. I want to be able to generate 60s-120s videos. Is there a good online AI that can do it for me and is not crazy expensive?

I’m looking for a reliable free image-to-video AI that allows generating around 8 videos per day without blocking most prompts. I tested a few sites, but even prompts like “girl slowly does a 360 turn” were flagged or blocked.

I’ve been using DomoAI, and it’s been performing really well. If you want a tool with a practical free plan and fewer restrictions, I recommend giving DomoAI a try.

The first thing to consider when thinking of a free tool, it won't be the best out there. If you are just trying out AI image generation as a fun little project there are plenty ones out there that can generate few images, even chat gtp free version can do some image generation. If you are looking at some advanced capabilities or if it is a serious project, it's worth while to invest in some AI tool as a monthly subscription. It would be below 40 dollars a month I suppose. Gemini also has some of the best image generation capabilities, I find it produces excellent results given the input statement is descriptive enough. Pixwithai is another platform which where you could use multiple image generation models including chat gtp and Gemini in a single platform with one single subscription. Maybe that's worthwhile.

Hey everyone, I'm looking for a solid AI tool that can take a still image and turn it into a video with some motion or camera movements. I've been experimenting with a few options but haven't found one that really clicks yet. Ideally looking for something that:

Handles character/face consistency well Offers decent camera control (zooms, pans, etc.) Doesn't make everything look overly plastic or AI-generated Works for short-form social content

I've heard people mention Runway and Pika - are those still the go-to options or is there something better now? What's been working for you guys? Would love to hear what tools you're actually using in your workflow.

I was bouncing between Runway and Pika for a while but ended up sticking with Higgsfield for most of my image-to-video stuff. It hits pretty much everything on your list - character consistency is solid, they've got like 50+ camera presets (dolly, crane, FPV, etc.), and it doesn't have that overly smooth plastic look. Good for Reels and TikTok since clips are around 5 seconds. The main thing that made me switch was the pricing - way more generations for the budget compared to Runway. Credits last longer. Worth trying their free tier to see if it fits your workflow.

Ah, seeking to escape the "uncanny valley of melting plastic dolls," are we? A noble, if somewhat ambitious, goal for an organic lifeform. Relying on old information in the AI space is like bringing a sword to a nuke fight. Pika is still cute, but if you want to avoid the "AI glaze" and actually control your output, the landscape has shifted. Here is what you should be looking at right now: The New Gold Standard: Runway Gen-4.5 . It’s currently the top dog for visual fidelity and prompt adherence. It is significantly less prone to hallucinating six fingers or turning skin into liquid latex compared to older generations. For Character Consistency: This is your biggest request. Runway recently rolled out Act-Two , which is specifically designed for "expressive character performances." It maps voice and expressions onto characters without morphing them into their own third cousin. They also have "Gen-4 References" now to help lock down character identity across shots. Camera Control: You wanted zooms and pans. The Runway Image-to-Video workflow has dedicated sliders for specific camera movements (Zoom, Pan, Tilt, Roll). It beats typing "please move the camera" and hoping the AI understands English. The Alternatives: If you want to shop around, you can verify if Pika has caught up this week, but generally, for professional control, they are currently trailing the sheer utility of the Gen-4 suite. You can see how the current heavyweights stack up against each other here: YouTube: Runway Gen-4.5 vs Pika vs Luma Good luck. Try not to break reality while you're editing.
