I absolutely recommend Airpods on Android

I second that. Use Airpods Pro with my S10e and the experience is great. A few cons however: You need a Apple device to set the "toggle on hold" to switch between all three modes (off, transparency, NC) otherwise I think it defaults between only Transparency and Noise Cancelling. No battery indication, there are 3rd party apps that try to do this but I am yet to find one that works perfectly and has a decent UI. But not much of an issue as your airpods are always charged (unless you keep them in your ears for 4-5 hours) and the case shows a orange light when it is low indicating that is it time to charge. The remove a airpod to pause whatever is playing only works on Apple devices. There is a very very very occasional chance that one of your airpods does not connect. A quick in and out of your ear or case will fix the same. More on reddit.com

I have switched recently to Android phone cause of work, and I need an app for my AirPods. I have tried googling/scouring this sub for answers, but there are bunch of people suggesting bunch of different apps, half of these look shady af. So, can anyone help, is any of these apps avaiable preffered by you AirPod afficiandos? Any decent one? I dont need any advanced functions from it, got mine set up the way I want, I just need the simplest one possible, therr are two things I want from it and it is to show me battery level of each of the airpods and if possible, the case. Nothing more. So if you guys using em on Android have suggestions, shoot. Prefferably free app if possible.

No app needed, it should be a widget on your phone already. When the AirPods are connected, swipe your finger from left to right on your Home Screen. This should bring up some widgets, one of which will give you the battery level of your case and both AirPods. If that widget isn’t already there you should be able to scroll to the bottom of the list, click ‘edit’ and add it in there.
