6’2”, 295, around XXL-XL in shirts
Friend’s daughter’s wedding in late June, southern IN. Invite says “all black requested.”
I don’t have a black suit and really don’t want to do buy one. I have a black sport coat with some gray and purple in the material, so it may be that, black slacks and black shirt.
Anyone have other suggestions? It could be extremely warm and humid, and the activities before, during and after and set to be outdoors (unless the weather is bad).
I don’t know what might be lightweight in black that could be worn for summer.
I have a Kohls and Men’s Warehouse locally, then everything else is 45-60 minutes away. Not opposed to a drive, or shop online… but don’t want to spend money for anything I might not wear much of again.
PS - I’m not wanting to wear a tie. PPS - I like Oxford cloth dress shirts. I think they hold their shape better and I can wear them with jeans.

I’ve got a wedding to go to in June, and the attire says “All black - Semi formal” what are some outfit ideas I could go with? I’m kinda lost. I thought to wear a Tuxedo, because you can’t go wrong with that, but idk.. Help friends.

Hey everyone. I’m going to a wedding in like 3 hours. Anyway my wife told me the attire is “all black cocktail” and I don’t know what that means and Google doesn’t either. We’re both under the impression that means no suit but a black button down and slacks. Is that right? Or is it a suit no tie? Black shirt with the suit in that case? Or??

This doesn't really fit with wedding drama, but maybe it does as I'm trying to avoid causing any drama lol.
I have a bit of an odd (potentially dumb, but I'm okay with that) question for y'all. My husband and I were invited to his HS friend's wedding at the end of April. On the invitation it just says the "We ask that guests wear only all black attire. Men can wear neutral colored shirt with their suit/tuxedo."
Do we think this includes shoes/accessories needing to be black or can those have some color? What about style? My gut is to go with a more formal on style of dress but I'm not sure.
Fashion has never been my forte and is usually a source of anxiety for me as I grew up always seeming to make the "wrong" choice for any occasion. Any and all advice is much appreciated!
