March 23, 2021 - Amazon Games today announced it has opened a new game development studio in Montréal, Canada. The Montréal studio, which joins Amazon Games development studios in Seattle, Orange County, and San Diego, will focus on creating original AAA games.

Amazon Games is a sub-section of the Amazon retail company that is responsible for developing and publishing video games. They have recently begun to increase their output of AAA-style titles and most recently unveiled an MMO-style free-to-play ARPG called Lost Ark
