What's the point of an post providing tracking numbers, if they don't work to track or trace packages ?
Do you know how An Post works (specifically parcel and letter service to Europe)?
Reusing stamps - Do you reckon An Post track the serial number or is it safe to reuse them?

I'm not trying to have a go at an post here, but I can't wrap my head around this logic.
I paid to post a package, filled out all the usual craic, valuation etc. This is โฌ150 worth of stuff. Got a tracking number emailed and on a receipt. 10 days on the recipient hasn't received the package. This is obviously my problem as the sender.
The tracking number still doesn't work. Contacted an post just to be told the tracking numbers arent actually tracking numbers at all and are just a requirement for customs in other countries..... So they make a tracking number that can't be tracked.
Am I just an idiot? Like I've posted a lot of packages to other countries even with an post years ago and never had this problem, or with any other post/courier company.

Good evening folks. I have a question about An Post, which as far as I know is the Irish Post. I ordered something from Ireland, it was registered on the 29th of November and it started its journey in County Laois on the 3rd of December. The code starts with CA, has 9 numbers in the center and ends with IE. It should arrive at an address in Italy. My two questions are as follows. Do you know what kind of letter or parcel it is based on its code? Is it fast, slow, parcel, letter? Secondly, is it normal not to have any news about it after the 3rd of December? It just says it was departing Ireland.
