I have been thinking to switch from Cursor to Clone as it seems much more versatile than cursor while staying in the VScode ecosystem.
I was going to buy credits but it was difficult to get to a fix number. I still have 20$ of open ai credits lying there and it's probably gonna be there forever and expire.
Would really appreciate if anyone can outline their preferences or suggestions.
I'm a student and is exploring different AI tools. After trying Openai, I read that Anthropic is a lot better so now I want to try it BUT when I verified my phone number, it says something about cannot use my number to verify right now and when I tried verifying again, it says "organization already has a verified number". I tried contacting the support but they haven't responded yet and it's been a week. I'm hesitant to use money since I haven't tried it yet.
I am looking for Claude to act as a chatbot or pair programmer in my IDE. Like this and this.
Having used claude.ai for brainstorming and general software development discussion, I was just about to purchase Claude Pro.
That's when I came across console.anthropic.com because that looked like where I would get my API key to use with these tools.
But the console seems to revolve around the idea of credtis and not subscriptions, leaving me confused.
I want to use claude in my IDE the way the normal claude chat works.
I pay a fixed monthly fee
Since I must be limited, I would rather be limited on a daily basis. So I can't burn through my entire token budget in one day and be empty-handed the rest of the month.
This this explains my confusion. Thanks
GPT, Google, etc. all offer some amount of base credits to get startups to use their platform (for example, OpenAI offers up to $10k before they start billing you for real).
Is there anything from Anthropic, besides the $5 you get for signing up?
