I purchased an apple watch 9 on prime day but decided to return it.
Unlike other normal products, it won't give me a return options on websites so I had to talk to a customer representative.
The thing is what I was told from them. Although I purchased it on Amazon, they told me I need to talk to apple. I really thought it did not make sense. I asked them double check if it was true and they said it was.
They gave me a link for the apple support and Im still looking for how to return on apple website. So ridiculous..

It’s not ridiculous. I assume you opened it. If it was still sealed and unused it would probably be easier to, but even then you probably couldn’t just take it to Kohls or whatever. I bought one last year and it was delayed and I figured it would be canceled but it was as a hot deal so I left that order opened and ordered a different one as a backup. They both arrived the same day so I requested to return the more expensive one, still factory sealed. They told me I had to with take it to an actual Amazon place or ship it in at my expense. I decided it was worth the $7.99 to just have UPS come get it. Took about 2 weeks but I got my refund, no issues

I just went through this. The thing is you need to unpair the watch from your apple account and it will give you the option to return it. Also amazon reps are useless you definitely can return at amazon since you bought it from amazon

No. You would return it thru the place of purchase, just like you can’t but it from Best Buy or your mobile carrier and return it to Apple instead. Apple also has a 14 day return window, so even if you could it sounds like the return period is over anyways. More on reddit.com

This just isn’t true. Just look at Amazon’s return policy. You can return opened items within 15 days. I’ve returned Apple computers to Amazon that have been opened. I’ve also done it directly with Apple. Best Buy has a large section of “open box” Apple products that they sell at a small discount because they’ve been opened. Also, even if it were true that you couldn’t return opened Apple products, you wouldn’t just get to keep them! They would just say you couldn’t return it.
