They truck stuff from stores 30 and 75 miles away. One year, they trucked in stuff from a central operation in a district warehouse probably 100+ miles away. Continue this thread ... We carry an assortment of new greeting cards along with a large selection of miscellaneous home and personal products ranging from batteries to band-aids and reading glasses to yard art. n every store, every week, thousands of items are sorted, priced, recycled or placed into storage by the production team in our "back room". The amount of incoming donations changes daily, as do styles and seasons.

January 31, 2016 - Larger thrift stores like Goodwill and Arc receive literal tons of donations every year. Goodwill Industries of Denver received 42,000 tons in 2014; Arc Thrift Stores 33,500. Even smaller stores — we interviewed owners of Brand Spanking Used, Eco-Thrift and Thrift Rite in Fort Collins — get more donations than they can sell (smaller outlets don’t keep data on what percentage of goods received find their way to the dumpster).
