My fiancé (25M) and I are getting married in October in GA. It will be a beach wedding with a reception at a country club afterwards. Expected temps around 70s. I need help picking out attire for him since he isn’t formal at all (and he and his mom are insisting it be more formal wear for him.)
He is a huge country boy, that mostly wears his work uniform or Guy Harvey/ camo/ country and western wear, so this has been tough. His version of dressing up has been button up shirts with good dark jeans, cowboy hat, and boots for a long time. I’m thinking a tan linen/ wool blend suit like the pictures attached but to keep his personality and style still attached I’m thinking a cowboy hat and getting him a nice pair of new boots (also attached some inspo pictures). Just need suggestions, ideas, really any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Also attaching a picture of him “dressed up” for his brother’s high school graduation. Last photo he has the heart emoji sticker over his face.
Tan linen suits everywhere! That’s all I see when I google this, so help me out with what will look best.
Venue is romantic Mexican resort in April. Wedding colors are all neutrals (beige, blush, tan, etc)
Wedding is outdoors, but on the formal side. Groom wants to wear ivory dinner jacket/black tux pants.
Options for groomsmen seem to be:
Black tuxes (would all have to rent. Too formal?)
Black suits (most would have to buy, maybe feels odd for outdoor wedding?)
Tan suits (maybe too informal? Could add vests to dress it up. Most would have to buy)
Or ???
Trying not to make everyone buy something new for $400+. Rentals come out to around $200-$250. One of the guys is pretty big, so not sure if a rental would look as good on him as something he can buy and tailor?
