I put together my MALM bed frame and put my Hokkasen mattress on top but there’s around a 3CM gap in between the end of the bed frame and the mattress. It makes the slats and underneath of the bed very visible and looks pretty unappealing. I thought it would’ve fit perfectly since they’re both Queen size. Is this normal for this specific bed frame and mattress?

I'll provide a pic if you don't know what I mean. But basically there is a gap between my mattress and the bed frame. You can see the wood slats and potentially anything in the drawers. What can I install to fill the gap that would look appropriate?
Hello everyone. I have a queen size mattress and bed frame from Ikea. Does anyone know what I can buy to fill the gap in so that my pillow and my wife's pillow does not keep falling into the gap? We have tried looking at the bed wedge matress foam in Amazon, but too many reviews were saying that after a couple or so weeks, it would just fall into the gap too.
Our preference is to fill in the gap where the foot of the mattress begins. Thank you all in advanced your your help.
