I bought a CozyEarth King Size Duvet cover for my comforter, not realizing the CozyEarth King size is atypical for king lol! So i was trying to avoid buying their comforter and was looking around for cheaper alternatives. As in…it actually hangs over each side of my bed enough to cover the mattress. Our mattress is thick & I hate seeing my high water bedding! 😂

I have a giant king pure linen duvet cover that I place a silk stuffed comforter in. It's like covering up with butterfly wings of warmth. In summer we put a thin cotton quilt in the duvet cover. Hangs to the bottom of the highest mattress.

Look for oversized comforters. On Amazon or Etsy. Covers too. They are fairly common now. I got a nice mulberry silk one on Etsy. Good luck!

We purchased a couple different comforters from Macy’s, but had to return both because the quality of poor.
I was hoping to try Amazon, but I don’t trust online reviews anymore and have no frame of reference for quality bedding brands.
I’m looking to spend no more than $100 on a comforter (and no more than $200 on a set if it comes in a set).

I’ve purchased Target brand Threshold sheets and quilts for over a decade. They last a long time and the 400 thread count sheets feel higher but are still nice and breathable. Maybe look into their comforters? FYI Target’s liquidation eBay store is Bullseye Deals, I’ve bought my last few sets on there for over 60% off retail price.
