i bought it for gaming. I was aware of the latency, which is more or less barable, but the image quality is nowhere near native 1080p, it looks like an awful youtube video. And it was very expensive. So my advice is to not buy it.
I'm stuck away from home and my laptop broke so I can only use my phone to access my media files and streaming services.
The wifi here is really spotty so I thought I could get a lightning to hdmi cable but there's not much info on their quality.
Apple sells a lightning to HDMI adapter but it's limited to 1080p? seems crazy when iphones with lightning port can shoot in 4k? and hdmi cables of 4k or higher are ubiquitous and cheap.
Does anyone know why this is? is there any certified 3rd party manufacturers that make higher resolution/bitrate solutions for playing from iphone 12 pro to a tv with HDMI ports? casting is not an option due to terrible wifi here. I'd be downloading files completely before watching.
Any other subs worth asking in? the only audio visual sub I could find is exclusively for commercial users.
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, but my girlfriend has been big into playing Apple Arcade games atm, mainly the Disney Dreamlight valley game. I gave her my spare ps5 controller to use while playing and she loves it but now she’s thinking of getting a lighting to hdmi adapter so she can play on the TV instead of using a phone. I was looking at a few on Amazon to purchase and reading the descriptions of them a lot say due to copyright or something some apps aren’t supported? So I was wondering if it would even work.
She’s tried the air play thing but there was a lot of lagging etc so wondering if a lightning to hdmi will work or does it have to be a specific one? If so if anyone could possibly link it for me it would be appreciated. Thanks!
