4 days ago - In addition, it creates a floating feel when lying on the mattress, as opposed to sinking down “in” the mattress. Endy comes in a single firmness option (7 out of 10) with a slightly firm feel. It has a moderate level of pushback and may not be right for sleepers looking for a deeper level of contour or hug. But for more moderate-weighted bodies, especially back and stomach sleepers, the 10″ profile and slightly firm feel are ideal.

People also ask

What is the best mattress type for back pain?
There’s no one best mattress type for back pain, but generally mattresses that provide a combination of pressure relief and support are ideal. This makes hybrids and latex hybrids good, since these beds tend to offer a close conforming comfort layer that relieves pressure, while at the same time having a study coil support core underneath. I would avoid soft all-foam beds or overly firm innerspring beds.

Best Mattress for Back Pain in 2026: Expert Tested
What type of mattress is best for back pain?
Back pain can be relieved by lowering pressure on the back area. Mattresses usually accomplish this task with a conforming top layer that molds to the body, leaving no part unsupported. Memory foam, latex, and hybrid mattresses all contain a foam top layer that follows the body’s curves, easing pressure on the spine and muscles. However, traditional innerspring mattresses aren’t the best type of mattress for back pain. Most such spring mattresses have only a thin layer of cushion, enabling pressure to build up across the body.

What's the best mattress for back sleepers with back pain?
Back sleepers with back pain often benefit from lying on a medium-firm mattress. The AS2 mattress is our medium-firm model and comes in a memory foam or hybrid mattress form. The memory foam AS2 is good for back sleepers shopping on a budget for a bed that cradles the body. Meanwhile, the hybrid AS2 is well suited for back sleepers who prefer more buoyancy in their mattress.

r/Mattress on Reddit: I really need help choosing a mattress for lower back pain. (Canada)
September 25, 2022 -

Hi! So I posted here a few days ago. I've been having back pain for a long time now, but it's getting worse. I think it's the mattress, as it's much worse in the morning.

I need help choosing a mattress. I don't care trying it and then returning to choose another one, but I'd like some direction. I live in a fairly remote area, and the only store that sells mattresses only have Sealy or Tempucpedic. What about getting a mattress through internet? Are box mattresses worth it? I would need the mattress to be shipped, as I cannot really test them in store.

I'm looking for a queen, as we do not have a room big enough for a King.

Any advices? I've been miserable for a couple of weeks now.

EDIT: Few infos: I don't have any preference in terms of materials, as long as I can have a good night of sleep. I sleep on my back, We each weight about 180lbs and are 5'6 tall. Around 2000$ CAD Max.

you are asking an impossible feat for people on the internet to tell you what will help your bad back. mattresses are sooooooo individual to ones preferences and in your case injury. especially with no other relevant info. what kind of mattresses do you like? preferences for materials? how do you sleep...stomach,side,back? how much do you want to spend? weight/body? all we know is you have a bad back, live remote and only have room for a queen. give the people more info. that said, I'll make my usual pitch for naturepedic. I'm a fan of their eos classic but with microcoils instead of latex. with the naturepedic eos you have 2 parts... support coils and comfort layer. support coils you have 2 choices... flush or firm. with the comfort layer you have 3 choices in organic latex or 2 choices in microcoils. I went with plush coils and medium microcoils. it's plus, yet super supportive. I never wake up achy. the nice thing about naturepedic ,especially in your remote case, is you have a 100 day trial where they will swap out the different layers to help you find the right configuration. I know they sell in Canada, not 100% sure the swap deal is the same. expensive, but in the long run a good mattress is worth it.

I'm in Canada and have made a post and comments about my experiences with mattresses if you want to take a look here. https://www.reddit.com/r/Mattress/comments/x8wdyu/canadian_mattress_comparison_simba_casper_juno/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share Based on your weight and sleeping on your back you might like a bit firmer mattress either like a medium-firm memory foam mattress, hybrid or regular spring mattress. If you have been getting lower back pain that usually means your mattress is too soft so look at ones that are medium-firm If you want to try a bed in a box mattress, you would probably be good with most memory foam mattresses sold in Canada like Endy, Douglas, Casper, etc. I just got a Silk and Snow mattress but that is a bit softer for side sleeping, but they also have a hybrid and natural model that are a bit firmer that might be good for you too if you want to look up their company. You can get a hybrid mattress from them for under $1000 and they have high density memory foam which is more cushioning and supportive than other cheaper foams.

Best mattress for back pain Any recommendations? Desperate for relief
Ok you’re already on the right track here if you naturally sleep on your back, it means any sort of memory foam you get is gonna mold to your back, not your stomach. Sounds like an old wive’s tale but sleep on a harder memory foam mattress. First couple of weeks are gonna be tough cos your back’s probably used to just sinking into it, but that’s what causes the curve and hump in your spine to solidify over time. There’s a couple of good options from Ego Home you could look at, but the ones with cooling gel could really help. They smooth out the transition pains from sleeping on a slightly harder mattres. WHAT IS THE BEST MATTRESS TO CHOOSE FOR A BAD BACK? | The Ultimate in Sleep Technology - The Simba® Sleep Collection | Simba Sleep
Sleep can become much more difficult when pain isn’t managed, and sleeping in one position for too long can cause stiffness. A newer mattress is going to be better for you versus an older mattress, given that older mattresses from 7 years+ may have obvious sagging or dips at the edges, protruding springs, or a permanent depression from where you lay, and as a result, giving insufficient support to maintain proper spinal alignment. The best sleep position for back pain is the one that feels the most comfortable
