4 days ago - If you haven’t tried Bluffworks before, we recommend looking at the Envoy Lightweights over the Ascenders. While the Ascenders have one more pocket (a passport sleeve on the inside of the left front pocket), only three of the 10 pockets zip shut.

What are the most durable pants for travel?
Ornot’s Mission pants weaves a high Nylon count, and wear fantastic both in style and durability. If you are OK with a jogger, we recommend looking at Flylow’s Tiller. The 95/5% Nylon-elastane blend is bomber and mountain bike tested, but wears less street friendly. OR’s Transit also sports a high-nylon count at a reasonable price ($95). Its sister pant, the Ferrosi, was our top pick for hiking. The differences in their Transit are negligible.

What are the most comfortable travel pants?
We like a pant that doesn’t ride up or bind when seated, and moves with you when active. Public Rec and Jack Archer are very close at the top. For pure comfort, you can’t beat Bluffworks Envoy. Beyond the fantastic material, the pant is is available in slim and regular fit, so there’s truly a comfortable pant for everyone’s preference.

What are the most flexible travel pants?
Ornot’s Mission Pants and Free Fly’s Latitudes both have the highest spandex count on the list at 15%. They are super flexible, light, durable, and have a good DWR. The Mission’s are more durable, while the Latitudes are better for hot climates. The Latitudes trend more beachy though. For a more formal look, Bluffworks has an equally impressive spandex weave (10%) and is by far the most comfortable pant on our list. · For a good combination of flexibility, durability, and all-around wearability, we recommend Western Rise’s Evolution 2. OR’s Ferrosi Transit also has a high count of spandex in

Any recommendations for comfortable travel pants for men? I'm looking for something soft, stretchy, and breathable like chinos, but also with lots of closable pockets like hiking pants. Most hiking pants are made of nylon which I don't find breathable well at all.

honestly target, costco, even uniqlo's travel pants work about the same as expensive ""travel"" brands. most use similar stretch fabrics - you're mostly paying for marketing and brand name. fit, comfort, breathability matter way more than brand. costco's orvis tech pants are like $20, breathable and stretchy with decent pockets. target's goodfellow travel chinos look more normal but still have stretch. nomatic outset joggers are the same, stain resistant and all but a much more decent cut than costco ones.

Hmm my advice to you would be to grab at least 2-3 pairs, bec even the comfiest pants start feeling unbearable when you’re wearing the same pair every day. A breathable blend is typically cotton w/ a bit of stretch, this way heat doesn't get trapped. Also, go for a slightly baggier fit so they don’t cling to your legs when you’re moving around all day. Burton vent pants are a good option, they're a baggier cut, zip pockets, and vents to keep things cooler. Another option are any baggy pair from urban outfitters, but I'd suggest you go try those on irl bec they sometimes send the wrong size.

June 18, 2019 - Even after washing and drying several times, we didn't see any discoloration, distress, or shrinkage of the pants, which was another good sign and reflection of the high-quality construction. Travelers should be advised that these have a five-pocket style, which provides a slightly more casual look than dress pants, but the sewing and structure still present well.

September 17, 2025 - It's a rare chino that fits perfectly, looks stylish, safely stashes everything, and moves well, but these pants truly strike that textbook balance. Decorated with not five, not six... but nine pockets, you'd think these would feel like clunky cargo pants, but they are some of the most subtle, streamlined pants we own.

June 19, 2024 - They also have a side pocket big enough to hold an iPhone 12, although I would not trust it in a side pocket while traveling. The pants are available in a full-fit or a tapered-fit, but unfortunately, I am currently only available in a full-fit version. I did find the sizes ran a bit small in the waist, so you might consider adding an extra inch…

Headed to Europe in a few months and will be minimizing the amount of clothes I pack in my backpack for 1.5 weeks. I’ll be doing a lot of sightseeing (churches, museums, castles, etc) as well as some light hiking. I’m a middle aged guy, 6’ 230lbs, decent-sized calves and thighs. I want something comfy for the plane as well as nice enough to not get second glances when going out for a nice dinner. Any brands that come to mind?

Seagale is all the way over in France, and dealing with international shipping costs (and returns, if necessary) is probably going to be annoying…unless you’re over in Europe, in which case this is going to be a great place to look. They’ve got a full range of travel clothing as well, so definitely keep an eye on them if you’re local. These chinos come in casual colors, look completely normal, and have a security pocket in one of the front hand pockets.
