r/iphone on Reddit: Best Screen Protector for iPhone 17 Pro Max (Clear, Privacy & Options)
September 16, 2025 -

Just bought the iPhone 17 Pro Max and I’ve had bad experiences with the Apple Store screen protector it cracked really fast. On my 16 Pro I ended up without any protection, and after one fall the screen cracked and I never fixed it so I had to replace the phone.

This time I want the best screen protector for iPhone 17 Pro Max, something strong but easy to install. I’m also thinking about a privacy screen protector for iPhone 17 Pro Max so people stop looking at what I’m doing in public.

Any recommendations for a reliable iPhone 17 Pro Max screen protector (clear, privacy, or tough edge-to-edge)?

September 6, 2025 -

I know it is a bit early, but I am finally upgrading from my iPhone 14 Pro Max and planning to pre-order the iPhone 17 Pro Max in the next few days. Last time, I ordered a few screen protectors for my 14 Pro Max and most of them turned out to be low quality. Some cracked easily, others had bad clarity or started peeling at the edges.

This time, I want to get it right and order the best iPhone 17 Pro Max screen protector from the start. I figured it is a good time to do some research before everything sells out after launch.

If you had good experiences with screen protector brands when pre-ordering your previous iPhones, which ones would you trust again for the iPhone 17 Pro Max screen protector? I am looking for something that is durable, scratch-resistant, and fits perfectly. (EASY TO INSTALL ofc)

Let me know what brand you used before that actually delivered good quality. I want to avoid repeating the same mistake and get a solid iPhone 17 Pro screen protector this time. Any tips for the best screen protector for iPhone 17 would be appreciated.

September 24, 2025 -

So, I watched the JRE video and it seems the 17 series' screen is a lot harder and scratch resistant than the previous models. I always had a screen protector for my phone but this time, I am wondering if it is even required?

My local Amazon has these ESR ones that is cheap enough and seems to have high ratings. But they are not anti-reflective, which I am not sure will make a massive difference to the screen quality?

Let me know your thoughts!

I just ordered the new 17(base) and my husband got the 17 Pro Max. We have been arguing about which screen protectors we should get. He thinks we should get the otterbox cases and screen protector but I have heard so much hate on those. I think we should just get the ONN brand cause it’s what I use on my 14 pro and it’s kept my phone safe and cheap and easy to replace. I just want to know what yall are using and how you like it.

October 29, 2025 - Bro don’t listen to these people sayin not to get one.. do yourself a solid and grab you a screen protector. I got the zagg and absolutely HATE IT.. the problem with a lot of screen protectors on the iPhone 17 is that the protectors seem too small for the screen leaving way to much light bleed on the sides along with an aggravating rainbow effect on the edges..

Ignoring the outrageous price, is this a good quality screen protector for the 17 pro max? : r/iphone
October 12, 2025 - Amazon (2 pack) on my 17 Air and it’s been great. More expensive doesn’t always = better ... Zagg is the exception. Had TORRAS on my two month old IPhone 16 Pro Max. Both cracked on first drop and little flakes of screen protector glass everywhere. At least Zagg lasts 6 months to a year and you may have a fine crack on the protector, but it doesn’t break in a hundred pieces when taking the old one off.

September 30, 2025 -

Hello everyone, I’m looking for a really good screen protector for my new IPhone 17 Pro. I'm picking up in a few days, i already made my mind up on which case to get, an ESR one with a stand, i was looking at the ESR Ultrafit Armorite pro with glass from Corning screen protector, but from what i could read, and tell by the reviews people are saying that its blocking pixels on the screen and making the bezels thicker, I’m kinda picky, and i wouldnt like spending that much on a phone for the screen protector to make the thin bezels thicker, so I’d rather spend a bit more if it means better quality. Any recommendations for something that protects well but still feels nice to use?

June 15, 2025 - El problema de ESR és el marco negro que llevan todos en iPhone 17... me compre el Spigen por eso ... Flolab is a ripoff. $40 plus $9 for shitty 8-9 business day shipping. That’s too much friction for me to support. Also it looks like the bezels don’t align properly based on reviews so they end up covering up pixels. More replies ... I am super picky about my phone screens, and I’ve never used a screen protector as I’ve never liked the feel. I recently had the 15 pro max which had amazing durability against scratches - now upgraded to the 17 PM and I’ve heard it scratches easily.

Looking for a phone screen that really only needs to protect against scratches - no anti glare, privacy, not thick etc. Reviews? Recommendations?

Just curious if everyone plans to put a screen protector on their new phone or not. I have gone without one for my last two phones but I also rarely drop my phone and am usually very careful. Leaning towards not using one again.

If you are going to use one, which brand are you getting? Which brands are usually considered the best?

If your iPhone 17 / 17 Pro / 17 Pro Max screen protectors ...

I wanted to share my experience because I have now tried more than 14 screen protectors including ESR, Spigen, TORRAS, amFilm, Ailun, and even the official Belkin that the Apple Store installed using their machine. Every single one lifted at the edges (bottom left, the sides, and the top near the speaker).

At the Apple Store, they were initially confident the Belkin would work, but when it started lifting instantly, the manager told me there was “nothing they could do” because they “haven’t heard of this issue.” Since they did not classify it as a manufacturing defect, they refused to replace my device.

This was extremely frustrating because the Belkin protector is the one Apple sells for this phone, so if even that does not adhere properly, something is clearly not right.

When I called Apple Support later, they told me that they have not seen this issue reported internally, so they could not label it as a known defect. For context, Reddit, Amazon reviews, and MacRumors all have threads of users describing the exact same edge lifting problem. What made it even more frustrating is that the Apple Store said they cannot take online reports seriously because “people say anything on the internet” and it is not considered an official Apple source. So they dismissed every example I brought in even though the Belkin protector they installed themselves failed within seconds.

📢 So if anyone else is dealing with edge lifting on the iPhone 17 series, please report it directly to Apple Support.
The more people who report this, the faster it becomes a recognized issue instead of individual cases being dismissed as a simple “screen protector incompatibility.”

r/iphone on Reddit: Best iPhone Screen Protector With Lifetime Warranty?
August 28, 2025 -

I’m planning to upgrade to the iPhone 17 Pro Max in about two weeks and want to make sure I get the best screen protector for iPhone. Since it’s such an expensive phone, I don’t mind paying extra for a high quality tempered glass screen protector that actually lasts and has good support.

I’ve had some bad experiences in the past with brands that advertise a lifetime warranty but make the process a nightmare asking for endless proof or taking forever to respond. Even in the Apple Store, it felt like too much hassle. At the end of the day, we all know a screen protector isn’t forever one bad drop and it can crack so for me it’s more about how the company stands behind their warranty.

What’s been your experience with the best iPhone screen protectors? Have you found a brand that actually honors their lifetime warranty quickly and without the runaround? Looking for recommendations on the best screen protector for iPhone that balances quality, durability, and good support.

Hey, so i have a question that i looked into but didnt quiet understand online so wondering if someone can break it down for me if they can. I just preordered the 17 Pro , and i usually like to get privacy screens. I’m looking to add a privacy screen on the 17P but someone mentioned that it won’t work bc of the reflective coating? Any ideas if that’s accurate?? And if it is, would a regular screen protector work?

17 Pro Max - To screen protect or not to screen protect
September 16, 2025 - If you have AppleCare then it's only £25 to get the screen replaced. ... Disappointed with belkin on 15pm. Would bubble after 1 month. Warranty such a hassle it's useless. Never again. ... Warranty replacement took many days and reading legakese on the web site. The second (replacement) protector also bubbled. El cheapo 3-pack for 1/6 the cost last longer and you just buy more without ball breaking warranty processes. ... The best thing Apple has added to their OS lately is this Lockdown Mode.
