March 6, 2024 - Hello BF is a memory error code. Remove the CPU and check for any bent or damaged socket pins. When remounting be sure the cooler is evenly but not overtightened. Also check the the board is not being bent/flexed from improper mounting.

March 21, 2018 - Before I go in detail with my issue, my specs are as follows: Asus ROG Rampage V Edition 10 motherboard Intel 5820k Hyperx fury 16gb ddr4 MSI R9 390 Samsung 950 pro 512GB M.2 WD Black 1TB (empty) Thermaltake floe riing 360 TT Watercooler Seasonic 750W 80 plus platinum. The first time I booted my pc, it told me to press F1 to enter setup. I booted off my windows USB, installed Windows to my SSD, and things went smooth up until this point. Now everytime i try booting up my pc, I get some error code bF on my motherboard, and my pc just shuts off.

February 28, 2016 - Our team had checked with the Post code manufacture and this code correspond to the thunderbolt. By default it is enable in the bios and if you are not using any thunderbolt device it will show bF.

September 21, 2016 - Hi Chronioum You may need to clear your CMOS although this should have been done when you updated to latest version. Qcode bf means there was an issue during memory training and you need to tune the system in Bios to get it stable for POST. Also: 32GB at 3000MHz is a lot to ask of your IMC.

March 6, 2024 - That code is BF not 6F which i normally get when my vcore is to low or System agent voltage, I have seen this code go away after upping the system agent voltage even know the BD code also points to these voltages BF can also popup.
