Greetings, I am currently using a ROG STRIX B650E-F GAMING WIFI motherboard, and I am trying to update Bios version from BIOS 0613 to BIOS 0821 .

I tried using the EZ Flash and updating it manually in my BIOS, but after doing so, the PC restarted instantly and CPU red light indicator on my motherboard. I had to do a flashback, back to the BIOS version 0613 to get my system to POST.

Should I try using the ASUS AI Suite 3 V3.03.17 app instead to update BIOS? I am confused, because I believe there is the same functionality occuring between an EZ Flash procedure and updating through the AI Suite application. Any help/tips would be great, as I am trying to get on that 0821 version to better support system performance, 40 series cards, and DRAM optimization.

In case someone else is having this issue, the solution that worked for me: Disable expo mode on bios (it's on the main page) Uninstall Armory crate in Windows Disable the Armory Crate automatic install in Bios. Once the above was done - bios update went smooth. Good luck!

No, all you have to do is set the bios back to its default settings then save and exit. Then reboot the pc again and make sure it is in default settings and go to flash the BIOS. Then it should work. That is how I updated MB which is the same one.
