r/hometheater on Reddit: Best BT receiver for using headphones on (non smart) TV
March 22, 2022 -

So I want to use my headphones for watching TV on my non smart TV (where I use a 2nd gen Chromecast to stream movies). I found that I can do this by connecting a BT transmitter to my TV and connect that to my headphone. What is the best budget bluetooth transmitter I can pick up on Amazon? Also, is this the best way to use a bluetooth headphone on my TV? Thanks in advance guys!

Edit: I meant transmitter instead of receiver, sorry!

I don’t know if I’m posting this in the correct place but I need some advice. I am trying to connect my 2009 Samsung tv to my Bluetooth headphones. I bought a Bluetooth transmitter only to realize that the tv doesn’t have a 3.5mm audio jack. I have tried googling different things but can’t seem to figure it out. Can anyone tell me what cable/adapter I need to be able to connect up to the 3.5mm jack on the Bluetooth audio transmitter? Picture of the rear tv panel attached.rear tv panel
