Bose solo Soundbar 2- lost the remote
The Solo series don't "Link" to any remotes. They use an IR receiver, which means it just needs line of site. To get an official remote you would have to call Bose (as they often don't put older remotes on the website, just through their spare parts group which you would have to call them for. You may also be able to use third party universal remotes and program it to control the solo. More on reddit.com

Update for anyone coming to this thread with a similar situation. If you use a Roku device as your primary streaming device and you don't have any other devices to worry about (TV, Roku, and soundbar), then this will work for you! The Roku remote already controls the volume on the TV. I programmed the Sideclicker to have volume buttons for the Soundbar, Channel up and down buttons, Input button and left/right buttons, and an OK button for the TV, and finally I set Power to the Power button on the Soundbar. No Remote for Bose Solo 10 Series II
You can call Bose support which will often stock replacement remotes long after the unit is out of production. I'm surprised the universal remote didn't work, it should just be a matter of getting the right code. Be careful buying from Ebay. There are a couple of remotes that look exactly the same, but won't work with this model. More on reddit.com

I have the solo soundbar 2 and lost the remote. It’s not paired to an app or alternate universal remote. The first step to linking it to anything else is to”turn it on” but everything I’m seeing online requires a remote to turn it on. Any thoughts?

November 22, 2022 - I was able to solve this by buying a cheap universal remote, setting it up to control the soundbar, and then using it to the Apple TV. A bit of hoop jumping, and it cost an extra $10, but to me that’s worth the convenience. Specifically, I bought this Philips SRP3249B/27 via Amazon, programmed the AUD button with code 2706 (Sound Bar, Bose), then used that to program the Apple TV via Settings → Remotes and Devices → Volume Control → Learn New Device….

Hi all. New to Bose.
My wife found this soundbar for our anniversary and it was a great deal at Costco, new, for $179. We wanted to get a simple sound bar so it wasn't massive on the mantle, easy to mount, had good sound because the TV's speakers (LG LB5200 65", 2014 model) are on the back and the audio goes up the walls and into the loft upstairs.
Well we plugged in and it already sounds better so we are happy with the sound! We disabled audio from the TV and we have it plugged in via Coaxial as the LG LB5200 does not have an Optical Audio.
As soon as we got it working, the first thing we realized is "oh god, another remote, and this is tiny. We are going to lose this thing in 48 hours." So I started searching, how can I use my current TV remote to control the audio of the Bose Soundbar? I came across this article which I soon realized was for the "Bose TV Speaker" product, not the soundbar.
Are there any recommendations on how to control the volume of this soundbar without having a third remote lying around? For reference, we only use the original LG TV Remote to manage inputs and local channels, and the Roku Ultra remote for Roku related things. (I did check and Roku Remote cannot control other devices like soundbars).
For now, I'm considering taping this to the back of the LG TV remote just so it doesn't get lost.

You’ll need an actual IR universal remote, since you don’t have HDMI connection which most of the universal control uses now. Something like this one: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/one-for-all-streamer-remote-black/6337295.p?skuId=6337295 Might be worth a shot before investing in say a Logitech Harmony which is the overkill solution.
