Whats the difference between these two speakers? From my research it seems they are the exact same except the Bose 700 surround sound speakers have 360 degree surround sound where the Bose Surround Speakers are "one" direction... Is this true? Are the Bose 700 speakers worth the extra $200?
I have a brand new Bose 700 sound bar and Bose 700 base module.
Thank you for the input

Bose has better overall sound quality and aesthetics but sonos software and their ability to be used as stand alone speakers is an advantage over Bose. IMO no other soundbar has a subwoofer that can rival the Bose 700. Sonos comes close but the subwoofer Bose made is as good as it gets without going down the road of a high end HT set up. I have a 950 sq ft condo and it will shake the walls in every room. Sorry neighbors, not sorry.

I actually own both. Personally, I think I like the regular surround speakers better. I have the 700 pair in my living room and the regular pair in my master bedroom, and I seem to find myself more impressed with the regular ones. Just my personal opinion
More on reddit.comWhat are the difference between these? Because when I search for the Bose Surround Sound 700, I get both of these as a result.
The main difference is that the ones in the left spread their sound in 360° , while the ones in the right only spread straight ahead in one direction. Bose claims that the left ones give a more immersive experience, while being significantly more expensive.

Hey friends! Just ordered my Soundbar 700 ! Can I get some advices regarding both of the surround speakers currently available ? Is there a big difference between the surround 700 and the regular ones? The price gap is high between them so I want to make the right choice Thanks in advance :)

I’m considering getting this as well, what is regular vs 700? I mena what is each called?
I have 900 sound bar with 700 subwoofer. The sound is incredible(especially after doing the blanket over subwoofer adaptiq trick). I was wondering what are the surround speakers available and what are each like?
Hi all. I've had the 900 soundbar for about a month, my first Bose product! I have been thinking about getting the 700 surround speakers to go with the 900 soundbar.
I don’t really need / can’t really have much more bass response, but I find the soundbar by itself lacks the separation I am used to with another sound system in my room (a pair of Echo Studios).
Would adding the 700s help “fill out” the soundstage and make music sound better? Obviously they are on the expensive side of things, hence my hesitation to ask for any tips before ordering. It still baffles my mind that I purchased the 900 soundbar from their refurb site for $679 and the going price is nearly equal for the 700 surrounds... seems very out of wack.
All of the reviews tend to comment on the 700 surround speaker’s abilities regarding film/tv but as opposed to music (not to mention, most people say they sound entirely too quiet, that you have to boost the levels in the Bose app or do the blanket-covering trick when rerunning AdaptIQ).
At least Bose has a 90 day return policy if, lets say, they actually happen to release 900 surrounds / atmos surrounds within those three months… since it seems that is still maybe a possibility...
I would greatly appreciate any advice!
From my experience they are really just for surround sound. So listening to stereo anything (like standard def TV and music) doesn't give you much to go through them. You can of course turn the balance up so the rears have more emphasis, but I never found that helped.
The instrument separation and soundstage on the SB900 is very wide, the surround 700’s will not improve this. Adding the bass module will make the biggest difference in filling out the room. It allows the SB900 to handle more mids and highs while the bass module takes care of the lows.
I just finished hooking up my Bose 900 with the surround 700 and I must admit even cranked to the max they are pretty quiet. It doesn't add much the the surround experience for me. I don't feel anymore immersed. And with the stand it's the price of the bar itself. I'm going to bring that back to the store in the morning
I am a new owner of the 900 soundbar and given the high prices of the Bose I would like to slowly buy the other accessories to add to the soundbar, do you think it is better to buy the sub700 or the 700 speakers first? what are the 500 speakers different from the 700? I state that I mainly listen to films and video games
I recently purchased Bose 900 soundbar. To be frank, I love it , the sound quality is fabulous and more than I expected. For years I have been using my old Samsung TV speakers and now that I have experienced the quality of sound bars and the overall experience, I crave for more. However, not sure if I should buy 700 or wait for 900 surround speaker to be released.
Haven’t heard anything in the rumor mill re: 900 surrounds (though they could drop tomorrow for all I know) but can attest to the quality of the 700s. Fantastic rear surrounds and definitely add depth and a sense of immersion to content. All that being said I’d grab the 700 sub first before the surrounds if you do not already have one.
i would 100% get the subwoofer first. If you crave more, youll want bass
My setup consists of the Soundbar 700, Surround Speakers, and the Bass Module 500. I'm satisfied with the setup.
The surround speakers aren't that loud, but much better on surround-optimized audio/video.
Now looking at the Bose Surround Speakers 700, but the difference is unclear.
Did some research here along with different websites, I'm not getting the clarity I want. I'm reading everything from "there's no difference" to "difference of light and day".
Any concrete experiences & specific differences someone can share?
