I happen to know a bit about this from my time as a professional reviewer. I've looked at and worked through the installation process of literally dozens of kitchen and bathroom faucets from a large number of manufacturers over the last few years.
Delta is owned by Masco, which includes a large number of other well-known plumbing fixture brands under its umbrella. Delta, Peerless, Brizo, Hansgrohe are all made by Masco. Moen is owned by Fortune Brands. Fortune plumbing fixtures includes luxury brands Riobel and British Perrin & Rowe, but no other mainline US fixtures. American Standard is owned by Lixil, which also owns Grohe.
IMHO, Masco has been putting its real money into Hansgrohe in recent years and Lixil has been doing the same for Grohe. Delta and American Standard both frequently suffer in engineering quality as a result. Moen has a significant edge on quality and design for ease of installation in North American households.
Delta is marketed more heavily than the others. Its standard shower rough-in, the MultiChoice, is easy to work with but has obvious engineering issues (the brass is far thinner than I feel comfortable with).
American Standard tends to go with ambitious ideas that look great but have weaknesses in engineering that you wouldn't normally find in Delta and practically never in Moen. A case in recent point is the touchless Beale kitchen faucet. The motorized valve just died on mine, three years in.
Moen just keeps on chugging on, because it's the backbone of Fortune Brands' developing portfolio. Plumbers like it for its forgiving installations. It rarely gets stylish and glitzy enough for trendy flips, though.

February 18, 2015 - If I go with the Brizo (Solna), they have a smaller prep faucet, though it's proportions aren't as elegant as the full size. The Grohe doesn't have a pullout smaller sized faucet in the styles I like (Concetto and Minta).

Master Plumber here: You have only two options: Moen or Delta? Both brands offer lifetime warranties. Both companies will send homeowners replacement parts for free (keep the install manual for model numbers, it will also have an exploded parts view with part numbers). Both companies have excellent customer service. Both brands want you to remain loyal to their brand… I’ve had customer service reps send free new faucets if a problem couldn’t be fixed on new installs. Both brands are easy to get parts for at any home improvement store (if you like need the part ASAP and can’t wait for the company to send it to you). Delta’s are easy to work on. Moen is built a little bit more solid (not by much) and they can be channeling to remove the cartridges out of (but Moen makes a tool for that). Those are the two brands that I can honestly stake my reputation on. If you want to go high dollar, Brizo is Delta’s premium line. $$$ More on reddit.com

I am looking at getting a very nice kitchen faucet for Christmas. I ruled out Moen since their faucets were limited to 1.5GPM flow whereas Brizo and Axor have about 1.8 GPM. Really what I want is a quality, durable, as little plastic as possible (I know some is unavoidable like in the lines) faucet. No interest in the electronic options at all.
Which do you recommend? Warranty language on both are the same. The Hansgrohe Axor’s “laminar flow” seems fancy, but I’m worried that will just result in less fluid velocity (since GPM is the same) and will ultimately feel like it has low pressure.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. I’m a buy once / cry once person.

I can only speak about Brizo, because I don’t have any experience with the other. We have Brizo faucet and bath fixtures throughout our house. We are very happy with them all. Our kitchen faucet is touch activated, which I thought might turn out to be a gimmick and which now I would never give up.

All my fixtures are hansgrohe for over 15 years now. Funny, but all are high efficiency (1.5 or better) and I hardly notice the difference. Every time I move I make it a goal to replace fixtures first, and it's always Hansgrohe. I've had 2 problems up to date, and lifetime warranty was a breathe: excellent customer service (hose replacement and kitchen faucet head replacement - practically instant!!). Top notch quality, great service - couldn't imagine another brand. Seeing how Axor is top of the line product of Hansgrohe, I wouldn't have any reservation picking them.

I've swapped out quite a few Moen diverters & faucet cartridges over the years & it's tough. Once they get corroded it's quite the battle. They will send you a new cartridge BUT I've had to asked several times & threaten to go with Kohler.
Then the diverter retaining clip is a fall into the wall cavity nightmare. The other issue with a new Moen diverter install is that BOTH the hot & cold has to be pressurized to ensure the diverter works so you can check for leaks. With the HW tank gone we had to run cold to both inlets just to test it. NOWHERE does the installation manual reveal this idiosyncrasy & the 1-800 help-line had no clue. We did have a new Moen $180 bath faucet fail in under 6 months & they would only send a new one if we paid a $25 shipping fee. Now I have 2 Moen faucets as spares as she went with Kohler instead.
My preference is Kohler for every fixture BUT their toilets with that large cylindrical flush valve constantly fail, so we go with Am.Std. Also Kohler will ship any missing parts & life time warranty parts without question. I can often get Kohler shower doors, fixtures etc for 1/3 of the price because of missing or damaged parts & Kohler will send the replacements gratis. I did get called in on a friends Kohler install where the shower diverters were not working (they had a large 72inX48in shower base with two sets of shower fixtures). The plumber had bailed totally frustrated & the install paperwork he left was not Kohler. It was simply a 20 minute realignment of the diverter heads.

August 12, 2023 - I don't have the exact Brizo faucet but one very similar (Odin) and the I have the Litze bar faucet. I have the same complaint on both and that is that the water flow control isn't very smooth so it's not as easy as it should be to get it to a medium flow. The high flow is way to strong for most things.

Kohler all the way but it directly from Kohler not a home Depot or Lowe's these products are made 2 different ways for big box stores and for the company themselves the better one you get are from the manufacturer itself . Big box stores products are made cheaper to appease the typical homeowner who wants to spend less .
