How to finish buffet table for outdoor use
I live in the same area: spar urethane works great on all my outdoor stuff, just keep it out of direct sunlight (if you can find any 😀).
All you need to do is thin it. For the brand I use it's mineral spirits, but check what thinner your label recommends. I thin mine 60:40-ish and paint on lots of coats. Thinning also helps cover all the textured bits.

I’m looking to decorate a blank wall behind my dining room table. To me hutches look dated, probably because most are used to display collectibles and it just looks cluttered. I would love some shelves in my home to decorate with seasonal decor as a way to add texture to my home instead of just using wall art. What are people doing nowadays when decorating their dining room? What about buffets or sideboards? Any styling ideas for the top of them?
