New to baking and want to try my hand at some cupcakes. Wasn’t sure if I should get regular cupcake liners or some of the reusable silicone ones. Can anyone weigh in with their preference?

I have lots of paper cupcake liners but not sure if they’ll hold up for soap cupcakes. Anyone have an idea if paper will work instead of silicone?
Cant speak for hot process but paper would stick to your soap in cold process by the time it dries. You would basically have to rip it off.
Really using a silicone mold is best, not just liners. Especially since a lot of regular cupcake pans are aluminum and you should never mix aluminum and lye.
Paper liners will work for hot process. They probably won't stand up to cold process.
I have reusable silicone muffin liners. I'm wondering what the difference would be between using them alone/freestanding, inside a metal muffin tray, and on top of a metal cookie sheet. Can anyone explain to me the effects of each method?
Edit: Thanks but I was asking like, how does it affect the cooking. Cook time, evenness of cooking, crispiness of edges, that kind of thing
