Looking to upgrade my og purple that’s 7 years old now

went to the Casper store today and was pretty impressed they were all comfortable but I definitely liked their snow mattresses best

has anyone compared with purple restore plus and preferred one or the other brand? The sales rep said the snow regular is an inch of foam and 6 cooling coils vs 1.7 in and 12 or something in the max

i guess the purple restoreplus is 3 inches of gelgrid and “soft”? Not sure what to think especially vs my original purple design

My current mattress (Casper Snow) isn't working. It's giving me shoulder pain and it doesn't feel cooling (I live in southern California). I'm planning to buy a new one this weekend because the sales are really good, but I'm feeling overwhelmed by all the options. My biggest priorities are comfort for my shoulders + cooling tech.

Of all the mattresses I've tried so far, my top 4 are:

1. Casper Snow Max

2. Beautyrest black series 3 firm

3. Purple restore plus hybrid soft

4. Sealy Posturepedic plus hybrid high point plush

Based on comfort alone, I like the Snow Max and the Beautyrest black (or maybe the Sealy) the most. The sales for them are also really great right now, especially the Snow Max. I like the Purple and it is very comfortable, but compared to the others, it just doesn't feel as good. However, it has the cooling technology I'm most confident in.

My biggest questions are:

1. Is Casper Snow Max more cooling than the regular snow?

2. I've read on here that Beautyrest black has had major issues, but this year's version has most likely fixed those? Also is it cooling?

3. Any info on the Sealy?

I guess what the title says. My current bed sucks. I’ve started working out again and the morning aches are worse and worse. Additionally, as I age, I apparently sleep very warm, hence the cooling tech in each. My question to the community is, do you have these, pros/cons. Both wife and I are sleepers and fit within the 130-250 range of most mattresses. I’m a little worried for her, because she bounces back and forth at the low mark.

I like the price point of both Purple and Casper and am leaning Purple, but can be swayed to TP.

Edit: Cripes almighty, talk about a terrible post. We are both side sleepers and have a queen adjustable base, which we will be keeping. Only wanting a new mattress.

I've been looking to get either the snow or the snow max but I am unsure the differences. I went in store and found the snow max to be a big softer but not much different other than that. I'm not positive what kind of mattress I prefer as this is my first time really getting my own new one. My friend works at casper and is giving me a big discount so price isn't too important (about a $200 difference between the 2 with the discount). Anybody have any input on either of these?

We had been wanting to upgrade our beautyrest silver mattress for a while and finally decided to go mattress shopping on labor day. We checked out tempur, mattress firm, macys and casper.

We're side sleepers and though we needed a firm mattress but a slightly softer one is what ended up being for comfortable.

We started off at tempura. Their hybrid mattress was the best, but we tend to move around while sleeping and I don't like the feeling of memory foam. We then moved on to mattress firm.

After trying all the beds at mattress firm, we narrowed it down to purple original and a sealy posturepedic. Both felt good. Purple was more comfortable once you got in your sleep position but the grid system felt a little unnatural while rolling around.

We decided to go to macys next. On the way, we walked past a casper store and decided to give it a try. We didn't like the casper original or nova, but instantly lover the wave hybrid. It wasn't comparable to any other mattress we tried. It had the support of a purple mattress but the feel and sturdiness of a spring mattress.

After narrowing it down to the wave hybrid, we went to macys and were able to try all our options side by side. Casper was still the winner.

We went back home and decided to wait a couple of days to think it through. We eventually called the casper store and placed our order online.

We chose their in home white glove delivery and old mattress removal. That's when the nightmare began. Casper really needs to figure out their logistics.

First I was told that the headboard will ship to me separately and will not be a part of the in home setup. I agreed. When the headboard arrived the box was severely damaged. After more than an hour on the phone casper finally agreed to take it back and send a new one. Initially they wanted me to unbox it and set it up then file a warranty claim even though the product arrived damaged.

Then for the rest of the bed, in home setup is done through XPO. Their tracking showed just the mattress and the frame but was missing the foundation. Casper pretty much ignored me moving forward and I had to work with xpo directly. They scheduled a delivery despite the missing item. I waited and they never showed up. It made me very angry. I called xpo again and kept escalating till I got connected to the actual delivery hub, not centralized support. The delivery manager was very nice and helped start the investigation to identify the missing foundation. They finally rescheduled and arrived.

Once they were here, it didn't seem like they had assembled a bed before, they left everything loose and did not connect the frame to the headboard correctly. Because of that the weight of the bed was resting on the headboard and the frame feet were not touching the ground. They kept saying the legs are too short and this is how it is.

I did not want to argue more so I let them leave at that point. Once they left, i redid the frame setup and suddenly everything was the way it should have been.

The mattress is just like the one we tried at the store. We decided to get the snow version since I tend to sleep hot. We love the mattress but getting it setup was a nightmare. I recommend that people should try to set it up on their own vs dealing with XPO.
