I have three cats and all my plants are safe. However they are all bright direct or bright indirect light plants. I don't have low light plants safe for cats as I find growing them too difficult and time consuming. Anyway what comes to my mind: all true ferns Saintpaulia Maranta Calathea Aspidistra elatior Phalaenopsis Pellonia pulchra Chlorophytum comosum some varieties of peperomia. some varieties of fittonia Mind that low light means at least 200 foot candles. All plants I mentioned are not toxic for cats. If your apartment is really dark you will need some strong led bulbs or grow lights. Some plants on the list will survive low light but they will not thrive. Answer from ekene_N on reddit.com

Looking for a large indoor plant safe for cats that can tolerate low light
The only plants I can think of that could get that big and tolerate low to no light are snake plants and ZZ plants, and both of those are toxic to cats. Maybe bamboo? Though it would grow incredibly slowly, if at all. Your best bet is a fake tree. If the corner is dark, it’ll help hide the fact that it’s fake. Edit: for clarity. More on reddit.com

Low light, cat friendly plants (other than spider plants)?
The vast majority of common indoor plants are classified as "mildly toxic" if ingested by people or animals. These are all fine. The worst case scenario is vomiting or diarrhea if your cat eats too much of them. Just avoid "highly toxic" plants like Lilys that can actually kill a cat. Sansevieria, ZZ Plant, Peace Lily(not a Lily), Chinese Evergreen, Pothos are all good plants for north facing windows. Herbs will not grow in low light. A mature plant may stay alive for a couple weeks while you use it for cooking. More on reddit.com

Attention Beginners, Pet Owners, and Cave Dwellers!! (Easy, Pet Safe, and Low Light Plants thread)

I think it would be a good idea to put the scientific name of the plants next to the common name to prevent any confusion. Some of the plants listed here are called different common names depending on location (Canada, USA, UK, Etc). For example snake plants are also known as vipers bowstring hemp in some places and I've heard other plants completely unrelated to this species referred to as a snake plant. I'd hate for someone to choose a plant by common name and find out the hard way that it wasn't what they thought it was.

They’re (nearly) unkillable, affordable, and cat-safe. So if you’re the kind of person that struggles to remember when to hydrate yourself, let alone a plant, you and a spider plant will get along just fine. These plants prefer to be in a bright spot, away from direct sunlight, but they will tolerate a shady dwelling, too. Spider plants also produce baby plants that dangle alongside the leaves, and these can be used to make more spider plants (aka propagation), which means you can pass on the plant love to your besties without spending a penny.
