A: No. Northeastern offers Claude accounts so that every member of our community has access to a powerful AI platform without having to pay out of pocket, but there’s no requirement to use it.

January 10, 2025 - Explore Claude’s Interface: With your account set and access tier selected, you’re ready to delve into Claude AI’s capabilities. The platform allows you to input prompts, pose questions, or provide instructions to Claude, receiving detailed, human-like responses.

You’re now ready to use Claude! Prompt the AI by typing in a question, or choose a specific style of response from the dropdown menu in the bottom left corner of the text block. Your claude.ai account will start out as a Free account, but will be upgraded to the Champlain College Enterprise plan once the Anthropic Team verifies it as a Champlain account.
