CRA wants money after Clearance Certificate issued
I’m travelling in June from Canada to the US for 8 days. I’m quite nervous as I haven’t travelled alone before. I’m a Canadian citizen (born and raised here). My passport was renewed only two years ago so it’s good for a long time. I have no criminal record. I’m still quite nervous though.
I read that pre-clearance would be a good idea but I’m not sure how it works and all the sources I’ve found haven’t been very helpful. Is it something I need to apply for before I go to the airport in order to be allowed to do it? If so how do I do that? What should I know about?
Also as I’ve said this is my first time travelling alone so any general advice and information on flying, security, customs, etc is very appreciated
Edit: I have a layover in Calgary and that’s where I’ll be flying from to go to US
