Wood or gas? I am trying to answer that question with "I would like it depend on my mood, not the setup".
I would like some opinions on that. Why aren't there any affordable options for a combo?
Idea 1. Put the wood fire pit ring in the center and build the rim as gas-powered low-height flame ambience. So I picture it as round hole in the center, small support for metal ring, a foot of fire glass, support for fire glass... Would this work? If no, then what am I missing?
Idea 2. Put the burner into the fire ring of a wood fire pit and just cover it when burning wood. That way the burner will not get blocked with ashes...
Any other ideas, which would solve this?
P. S. I tried searching this subreddit for similar questions to no avail. Please point me to a discussion, if that has already happened.
