There’s also a two seater couch at IKEA we got for $179. It’s not super cute or cushy but it’s held up being the go to spot for our two large dogs and toddler to look out the window. I am moving into a new apartment and I have to furnish it from scratch. I only plan on owning the furniture for a year or two, and I will not be having much company (mostly for a beer or glass of ice tea before/after a walk).
I'm tempted to get a $200-300 couch off amazon/wayfare, as I only plan to use it for light reading and occasional conversation. I won't own a TV so I don't really need to lounge. Has anyone had any success?

I have a wayfair couch and honestly? I wouldn’t do it again. I am living with it until I meet some other financial goals. If I could go back, I would have saved more money and gone to Sams Club/Costco or maybe a furniture store. Wayfair is good enough quality for a guest room or items that are not daily use. In my experience they usually damage and fall apart when used daily like a couch would be.

I’ve been looking online all morning and I don’t see any couches worth getting.
I want a small couch for my loft. Just something that can fit 2-3 people and is cozy enough for me to sit in all day on my days off lol.
I checked Wayfair and IKEA and I just didn’t see anything with great reviews within that price range.

I picked up a couch I love for about $450 at target. It’s in my husbands studio but it’s cozy and seats 2 and I have curled up and happily slept on it

Second-hand is the way to go! If you’re in the area, AptDeco does white glove delivery and you can get couches for a good price (I bought a $2800 American Leather sofa for $500). They also check for pests and make sure that the quality of the furniture matches the listing. Facebook Marketplace can work too if you have a way to pick up the furniture on your own (although you’re taking on more risk that way). Article is another great option! This video from Nick Lewis has a good section on them.

I'm looking for a comfortable sectional under $2k that'll hold up well! The wall that the sectional will be against is 100 inches so many of the sectionals I've seen are too wide for my space. I'm also ok with a sofa with an ottoman. Any suggestions welcome, especially if you've had your sofa for awhile!

Buy a custom sectional from What A Room Furniture, Cococo Home or Clad Home. They will allow you to get a sectional that would be something that is 92-96" that will fit nicely against a 100" wall. You can then get a length that fits the other side with bumper chaise or a regular chaise. I personally got a What A Room and it has been one of the most comfortable sofas I've been on.

I just moved into a new apartment and am in need of a couch, really a sectional ideally L shaped. The issue that I’m finding is that a lot of the couches that I’d want are
Way too expensive (1.5k+)
Have to fit inside the apartment, we live on the second story through a narrow hallway and stairwell so this is an issue. Space inside the actual unit isn’t an issue
I’ve never bought a couch before and am unsure what’s reputable.
I’ve been looking at wayfair ikea and others but haven’t bought anything yet, so any recommendations??
