I’m a mom to two under two and have consequently been fluctuating between a size 4 and a size 12 for the last two years. Weight loss isn’t a huge priority right now but my body is inevitably going to keep changing. I’m putting together a capsule wardrobe that is minimalist, versatile, and size flexible-ish. What are your go to pants that fit this bill? Bonus points for high waisted and natural fibers.
Thank you!!

Anyone have any recommendations for comfortable, soft “indoor” pants that aren’t leggings or sweatpants? I lead a pretty casual life (work from home mom) and am sensitive to clothes that feel too restrictive. I’d like to find some pants that are comfortable, but more versatile than typical the loungwear/athleisure options so that they can be worn in and outside of the house. Does this exist?! Thanks all :)
Edit: Wow! Thank you all so much, I’m so excited to have so many options to look into. I really appreciate your time!
Basically I (29F) have some sensory stuff when it comes to clothes and for the last decade I have ONLY worn stretchy leggings because I barely feel them, they move easily, have a nice wide waistband that hits just under my belly button and is stretchy but still feels secure, etc.
As I’m nearing 30 I feel like I need to start wearing more “adult” clothes and I’m also starting to feel a little insecure about ONLY wearing tight leggings as pants.
Does anyone have a favorite go-to pair of pants that would be as comfy as leggings?
I just can’t stand the stiffness of jeans, I have wide hips so pants always fit me too tight around the butt but loose and irritating everywhere else, and anything low waisted makes me uncomfortable. Ugh.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions!
I’m starting cosmetology school soon and I need to wear black pants, but we aren’t allowed to wear jeans or sweats. I don’t want to wear dress pants.
