Edit: i'm an idiot. When the keyboard is up, there should be a little search box on the upper right edge of it. Tap into the google search bar to make the keyboard appear, and then go into the little "find" search bar instead to type in what you want! :)

r/ipad on Reddit: command+f not working on Google Docs app but it works with everything else
April 15, 2025 -
I have an ipad pro running 16.6.1. I've had it for many years with no issues and I use it all the time but it suddenly has a new issue today:
When using the Google Docs app, I can't use the command+f search function. When I try, it simply types an "f" in the document. This keyboard shortcut does work in other apps though, it's just Google Docs.
Everything on my iPad is up-to-date and doesn't seem to have issues besides this coming out of nowhere.
I have tried restarting, removing the keyboard, etc.
Does anyone have a fix for this? Is it a google docs issue?
