Not sure how their new fans are, but various Corsairs going back for years now have tested as some of the worst performing fans out there. They've earned their reputation of low performing overpriced items. More on reddit.com

LX all day I previously had QX in my old build, I was not fond of the LED hot spots on those fans. They are very pretty though. LX is better diffused lighting, better performance and come in reverse blade. Easy choice for me More on reddit.com

LINK is a lot more elegant than just daisy chaining things together. LINK is allowing us to basically have a data + power backbone throughout your computer. You can branch off or daisy chain and as long as things touch the network, they get full power/data and full connectivity. You can drive power from device to device that lets you control up to 7 things in a row, 14 per controller. You can also daisy chain non-fan devices like an AIO (or other things that we're working on). What we didn't do, is just go make a combination connector that sends the same data type from device to device, which would be pretty limiting power-wise and not let us have the full cable management story we wanted. I can appreciate that QX fans are expensive, but it's because they're pretty high-end fans that have an embedded processor that cost a lot to make.
