I purchased the solid version to install in my 2 car 1960’s brick garage. It was reasonably priced and despite some mixed reviews I’m absurdly happy with the way it turned out. I will say if you wrench on cars the solid seems to be the way to go. I have a couple of friends who have the open style “drain” tiles above and found they held dirt, spills, and it was easy to loose small parts in them. I went with these from Costco. I’m happy to answer specific questions but a couple of tips: Especially if installing in an old structure leave yourself some extra space or make sure the floor structure is “true” side to side and front to back. My garage is 1.5” off that required some creative cuts. Have a plan for how you want to orient the floor before you start. Have a couple of friends and rubber mallets handy, it made install a breeze. You can purchase edges separately without messing around with the kit Costco sells here Wear gloves when installing, your hands will thank you. If you need to cut some tiles like I did the Bauer deep cut bandsaw available at your local harbor freight works great, available here Answer from hammeresq on reddit.com

Following because if they’re even close to SwissTrax they’d be worth it for half the price.

May 26, 2024 - From what I can tell.. spacers stay in for at least 5 or 6 rows (or until end of flooring?). Each time you put a panel in, you tap it in using the block and once against the other side of wall you use the pull bar and tap it to ensure it is pulled in to the panel next to it. It seems easy enough. The interloc stuff seems to make it very easy to do. Is there anything I might be missing? The one thing I am not entirely sure about.. I have tile in my kitchen, and I will be butting the flooring up against that tile which is a common walk way.

November 16, 2018 - I've put a sealer down on my floor and I've got spalling and cracks that will make prep for an epoxy or polyurea aspartic coating challenging at best. Also, given the cost, I'm thinking of tiles as an alternative, Swisstrax Ribtrax are available $3.29/sq ft in larger quantity, plus shipping. They appear to be the benchmark product on the market, similar to Racedeck out of the states (US$2.69 delivered within the US). Would Costco be a good place to buy flooring and installation as a package with warranties? Why is Costco not good or the best place for flooring, and workmanship contractors? - Quora
Answer (1 of 9): I worked as a flooring g specialist at the HD, with that said, Costco does sell good products but I would worry about installation since they subcontract the work. Of course the HD does too but they are also in the home business so they understand better when problem arise. What ...
