June 22, 2024Considering buying a full-size mattress in warehouse. Does it come compressed in a box that will fit in a car?
Some of them are, some are not. I know I saw some there that were yesterday. But that means all memory foam mattresses which are possibly not a good choice for your back. I’d go to Mattress Warehouse or wherever and tell them you need Saturday delivery. Or else rent a truck for $20 an hour at Home Depot and transport it yourself. More on reddit.com

Purchased our last memory foam mattress at Coscto years ago and am wondering if there or Sam’s Club are still good places for value/quality?
The brand we own I don’t think they stock anymore but they have Purple and Ghostbed which I’ve heard of.
Still good or any recommendations otherwise?

I’ve never had a new mattress in my life, so I’m really eager to get one now that I have the money. My current mattress sent me to physical therapy. My biggest issue is that I’d like to buy in-warehouse, but I’m not sure if I can transport the mattress. (I admit that this is entirely due to my own impatience, as well as not wanting to take a day off on the day of mattress delivery, as well as avoiding any headaches with unreliable delivery companies.)
I know some mattress companies/sellers can pack a mattress into a box the size of a mini fridge, and if I can buy one like that at the warehouse, it would be awesome. I just want to know if this is how they are packed when you buy them in-warehouse, or if I’d have to get another vehicle to get it home. (I drive a Chevy Cruze.) Or, do I have no choice but to have a mattress shipped to me?

We got a Casper hybrid, it came in the box like you said, super vacuum packed. That box was so freaking heavy! We ordered it from Casper and delivery was UPS. I've seen the Casper boxes in Costco before and they look like the one I got. It is too firm for me, honestly but my husband likes it. If you order from an online retailer, like Tuft and Needle, Casper, Nest, etc, can you select UPS shipping and either ask that they deliver on a weekend or have them hold it at the UPS depot for you to go pick up?
