Costco Suspending Propane Service Sept 2025

I usually shop at the north end Costco. Three different times I have gone to buy something there -- something that was on sale -- only to find that they were out but the south Costco still had lots. I presume it goes the other way as well.

I’ve learned that both Costco locations in Saskatoon (and many others across Canada) are suspending Propane fill services this month. The whole reason I got a Costco card was because they offered propane fill services at half the cost of everywhere else. I have written to them and received a response, but it is a generic response that won’t affect any change, because I am just one man.
As for the reason(s) they’re doing this is purely speculative; but I’ve heard they did the math on what it costs them to train employees, maintain the equipment and possibly insure the facility (the insurance part sounds like hogwash: a company that size is almost exclusively self-insured and they already sell other petroleum products on site). Anyways, they found that they would generate more stable income from the parking spots it occupies and eliminate costly delays for the tire centre employees doing the fills.
I was in the north Costco today and the food court was all curtained off and it looked like behind the curtain there the tables were all stacked up. (I didn't look too closely). No hot dog for me.
Anyone know what's going on?
Do the two Costcos carry different stuff?
