Hey all, about to do my first oil change (5 hrs break in) on my CC XT1, and was wondering if I should just use the kit they sell or if anyone can recommend a better oil? DO NOT use any other oil filter than the Kohler OEM - it CAN void your warranty (i'm a Kohler engines dealer) if you use a junky Amazon bought filter, also use small engine oil with zinc and antiwear additives, 10W30 oil only, don't use automotive oil it will break down quicker and cause problems in the long run, an engine on a mower is air cooled it runs 10x more hot than your car.
