I recently got my custom domain, but I now need help setting up the email part of it.
Between Zoho, Proton, Tutanota, and Google Workspace, which hosting service is the best for personal use and managing emails?
Will any of these hosts also allow me to make as many custom email addresses as I want with my domain?
Thanks!

O365 Family/Personal does not include Exchange
Gmail is an IMAP type mail account, which has major limitations
You can of course buy an Exchange service from one of the many providers and obtain the required email accounts, they can then be added to MS Outlook as a component of O365 Family.
Hi, I'm Diane and I'm happy to help you today.
Microsoft ended their custom domain program for personal accounts last fall. No word yet on if or when they will come back with one, but this was the 4th or 5th custom domain offering for consumers, so I'm expecting it might come back, eventually.
The business accounts would work - as admin, you would control policies etc and would not need to use any. But it would be expensive - $6US per mailbox per month. There are ways to cut costs if the account doesn't need to log into email - BUT business addresses can't be used for Microsoft accounts on the personal side - so could not be used to manage screentime.
I thought Gmail ended their customer domains for consumer accounts - that leaves only apple's custom domains and mail accounts where you purchased the domain.
Let me know how it goes, I'm here to help you further if needed.

Like many migrating away from Google Workspace, my main concern has been finding a new email provider for my 5 users across 3 domains. The GSuite email host alternatives with prices? thread on r/gsuite was a good starting point, but I found myself needing more information than was provided there.
I decided to record my findings in a spreadsheet covering everything I could find answers for, complete with links to the source of the information as far as possible.
It's still a work in progress, and I welcome corrections, updates, and requests. I hope you find it helpful :)
