ups sent me an customs invoice via mail after month after delivery after i’d already paid customs prior to delivery..

UPS didn't generate my commercial invoice pdf during checkout and now I am being asked one
Where should I put the commercial invoice on the package?
so i imported a couple big boxes internationally via ups express almost over a month ago. i paid the customs for all of the packages before they arrived, which i’m aware that they make you pay before delivery, so i assumed i was fine with the fees since they all delivered with no issues. however i just received an invoice via mail for customs for one of the packages (which was supposed to be paid by sept 14 but i only just received it), and i’m assuming an invoice by mail will also be sent for the other packages.. is there a reason they do this?? and should i pay it?? idk what to do because 1) it’s overdue already and i can’t do anything about that because it only JUST delivered and 2) why am i paying customs again a month after delivery when i already paid for “everything” before delivery..
I am in the U.S. and a buyer in Canada asked if I would ship to him UPS rather than through the post office. I did, and went through all the hassle of filling out all the stuff with UPS. I paid and printed the label and it came with 3 custom invoices. There arent iunstructions for what to do with even one of them, let alone 3!. It tells me what to do with the shipping label, but all it says about the customs thing is "3 copies of a completed customs invoice are required for shipments with a commercial value. So, I selected that I would drop off the package, which I can do at an after hours drop by me, but can someone please tell me where the customs go? Their online assitstance bot is worthless and cant answer me. Thanks for reading
I sent some electronics worth 2.3k GBP from England to USA. I declared the value and all necessary customs declarations in UPS when I made the booking, as I paid for the insurance.
For some reason it didn't generate any invoice, receipt, etc. It just generated the label when I clicked label, receipt and other documents. Driver collected the package. Now I am being asked the invoice for the customs, so I do not have a document since I thought it was sent directly to them by UPS. I contacted UPS customer service but they say they have no way to access this.
I thought I would receive everything I generated online via e-mail later since it wasn't in the final webpage of the booking after paying, except it didn't arrive either, which I find weird since I did not even get an e-mail for the payment.
Any idea of what am I supposed to do?
